On May 15, Jiangnan District held the 2024 Investment Promotion Conference for Urban Village Reconstruction Project, attracting nearly 300 guest representatives from strong enterprises, well-known chambers of commerce, financial institutions, and news media to provide guidance.
Leaders of Nanning Municipal Finance Bureau, Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, Natural Resources Bureau and other municipal departments were invited to attend the meeting and answered questions from guest representatives on the spot. Yin Ping, head of Jiangnan District People's Government, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
On behalf of the Jiangnan District Party Committee and Government, Yin Ping extended a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the guests. He said that actively and steadily promoting the transformation of urban villages is a work deployment of great and far-reaching significance made by the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core from the overall height of the Chinese-style modernization strategy, which is the key work of the autonomous region and Nanning City this year, and is also a key measure for Jiangnan District to promote high-quality economic and social development. Jiangnan District is the core urban area of Nanning, the capital of Guangxi, and an important carrier of Nanning's "One Body, Two Wings", "Two Ports and One Zone" and Nanning (Shenzhen) ASEAN Industrial Cooperation Zone, as well as an important support area for the construction of an international metropolis open to ASEAN and an important support area for the construction of the China-ASEAN Cross-border Industrial Integration and Development Cooperation Zone. Jiangnan District has the advantages of location along the river, near the airport and near the border, and is also the only central urban area in the city with a multimodal transport hub of "aviation, railway, highway and water transportation", and has been awarded the first batch of national night culture and tourism consumption clusters. The historical heritage of "Tingzidu first, then Nanning City" has doubled the cultural charm of Jiangnan District in urban renewal. All relevant units and departments in the urban area will go all out to optimize the full-cycle service mechanism from investment promotion to project construction, and actively create good conditions for project construction and enterprise development with the most top-level policies, the best quality platform and the most heart-warming service.
The two urban village reconstruction projects of Baisha Peninsula Area and Pingyang Village Area, covering an area of more than 4,600 acres, have been included in the first batch of urban village transformation projects in the city. These two projects have unique regional resource endowments and high comprehensive value benefits, superior location, convenient transportation and mature supporting facilities, and enjoy a number of favorable policies for urban village transformation. After the introduction of the overall planning of the area and the investment of high-quality projects, it will continue to improve public service facilities such as education, medical care, housing and leisure, effectively improve the quality of life of residents in the district, and create a benchmark for urban renewal and a model for urban quality improvement in Nanning.
Among them, the Baisha Peninsula Area Reconstruction Project, located in the jurisdiction of Fujian Yuan Street in the east of Jiangnan District, is surrounded by Jiangnan Avenue, Tingjiang Road, Baisha Avenue, Xingguang Avenue and Tinghong Road, covering an area of more than 2,300 acres, and is the only developable peninsula in the core urban area along the Yongjiang River. Metro Line 2 and Line 6 intersect and run through, and there are many high-quality educational resources such as Jiangnan Primary School, Wuyi Road Primary School, Wenhua Primary School, and cultural relics and historic sites such as Mo Wenhua's former residence. There is the Second People's Hospital of the city in the jurisdiction, close to the Affiliated Hospital of the Medical University, the People's Hospital of the Autonomous Region, etc., and has mature business, cultural and tourism complexes such as Tingzi Wharf, Baiyi Shanghe City, Guangxi National Theater, Jiangnan Wanda, etc., gathering more than 5,800 enterprises of various types. Within the scope of the project, there are contiguous old and dilapidated houses, self-built houses in urban villages, etc., which restrict urban development. It is planned to build a high-end business, cultural and tourism agglomeration area by relying on the main axis of commercial economy on Tinghong Road, the automobile economic corridor of Baisha Avenue, and the economic belt for the integrated development of business, culture and tourism on the south bank of the Yongjiang River.
The Pingyang Village Area Reconstruction Project, located in the middle of Jiangnan District, covers the Pingyang Village Area and the Shajing Tongle Farmers' Market Area, covering a total area of more than 2,200 acres, close to the administrative center of Jiangnan District, directly to the east to Wuxiang New District, to the west to connect the International Railway Port and Nanning (Shenzhen) ASEAN Industrial Cooperation Zone, to the south to Nanning Airport, to the north to connect the key university agglomeration area, all in the half-hour traffic circle. Metro Line 4 and Line 5 are superimposed and radiated, with high-quality educational resources such as Jiangnan Junior High School of Nanning No. 3 Middle School, Wenling Primary School, Peihong National Middle School, adjacent to Jiangnan Park, Fengchao Lake Park and other ecological and livable areas, with Shanshan Outlets, South China City, Haijixing and other large-scale professional markets and supermarket complexes, and the potential of Baisha Avenue Automobile Boutique Street. It is planned to completely solve the problem of old houses and improve the quality of life of residents in the jurisdiction through the transformation of urban villages. Give full play to the advantages of location and rail stations, strengthen the industrial support services of the area, develop the production service industry and the consumer service industry, and build a modern central area for the integration of central business and residence.
Urban leaders Tung Chee-hwa, Li Haibo, Liao Zhiqi, and Huang Ruogu attended the meeting. Chen Chenmiao, member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangnan District Committee of the Communist Party of China and deputy head of the government, made an investment promotion for the urban village reconstruction project, and Xu Yan, deputy head of the government, presided over the meeting. The guest representatives also visited the project site to understand the construction situation.
