Qu Qiubai died at the age of 36, and the pre-execution photos were fearless, and the two demands made the executioner feel deeply ashamed

Without an introduction, no one could see that this was a man who was being taken to the execution ground, and his last life was a souvenir!

He was the national hero Qu Qiubai, who was 36 years old that year:

Qu Qiubai died at the age of 36, and the pre-execution photos were fearless, and the two demands made the executioner feel deeply ashamed

It was June 18, 1935, and the scene was described in the words of Qu Qiubai's daughter, and it was like this:

Father walked to the pavilion in Zhongshan Park and stood there to take pictures; the guards prepared four dishes for him, and he drank and ate the vegetables calmly, and then came out to sing the international song in Russian. There was not a hint of nervousness or fear before going to the execution ground. He smoked a cigarette as he walked, looking at ease. Pedestrians and reporters on the street could not see who was going to be shot when they looked at the scene.

In this way, Qu Qiubai, in the face of the enemy, walked all the way to the Luohan Ridge Execution Ground, scanned back and forth for a few laps, and then picked a relatively flat place to sit cross-legged.

It's not like going to death, it's like going on a trip, and he even said to the executioner who was about to execute him: "This place is very good." ”

After saying this, he solemnly made two demands with the executioner, and these two demands are also lamentable in the eyes of the present.

A person who cannot even protect his personal life, he is using the little ability he has before his death to protect the backbone and dignity of our Chinese nation!

Qu Qiubai died at the age of 36, and the pre-execution photos were fearless, and the two demands made the executioner feel deeply ashamed

Qu Qiubai was born on January 29, 1899 in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, his ancestors were also yixing Wang, his uncle Qu Shihu was a local zhi county, Qu Qiubai's family turned to his uncle, lived in the official palace, his childhood can be said to be carefree, and his studies were also very smooth.

However, after the end of the Xinhai Revolution, Qu Qiubai's uncle resigned from the government and lived idly, ending the reception of Qu Qiubai's family.

Although Qu Qiubai's father was good at painting, swordsmanship, medical skills and other skills, he was indifferent to fame and fortune, did not rule the family business, and usually relied on his brother to take care of him, so after suddenly losing his source of livelihood, the family life was instantly in a state of poverty, relying on pawns and borrowings every day to survive.

After about ten years of such a day, Qu Qiubai's mother, Jin Xuan, really had no hope of taking poison and committing suicide in a difficult life, and Qu Qiubai, who was already 17 years old at the time, had to interrupt her studies and began to work as a teacher to receive daily help.

A year later, he went to Wuhan to join his cousin, Qu Chunbai, who was working as an interpreter at the Railway Bureau at the time, and entered the Wuchang Foreign Chinese College under the introduction of his cousin.

However, after only one year of study there, his cousin Qu Chunbai was transferred to work, and Qu Qiubai followed his cousin to Beijing, began to learn Russian, and accepted the new culture and new ideas, while Qu Qiubai gradually embarked on the revolutionary road.

Qu Qiubai died at the age of 36, and the pre-execution photos were fearless, and the two demands made the executioner feel deeply ashamed

As early as 1919, Qu Qiubai had the experience of arrest, the first time was the May Fourth Movement, when he was arrested as a student representative, took to the street to give speeches, was released a few days later, and then he was arrested on behalf of the students in the Xinhuamen protest against the "Ma Liang Disaster Lu", but this time there was also a surprise, and he was successfully released a few days later.

The two arrests in the early years not only did not dampen Qu Qiubai's vigor, but on the contrary inspired his confidence and courage to join the revolution, so after the May Fourth Movement, he joined the Marxist Research Society initiated by Li Dazhao and Zhang Songnian, which can also be said to have officially embarked on the revolutionary road from then on, and soon began his first married life.

Qu Qiubai's first wife was Wang Jianhong, a close friend of the famous writer Ding Ling at Shanghai University.

At the turn of the summer and autumn of 1923, Wang Jianhong and Ding Ling met Qu Qiubai, who had just returned from the Soviet Union, in Nanjing, and Qu Qiubai was recommended by Li Dazhao to serve as the head of the sociology department at Shanghai University, teaching introduction to social sciences and social philosophy.

It was with Qu Qiubai's introduction that Wang Jianhong and Ding Ling entered the Department of Literature of Shanghai University together.

In this process, Wang Jianhong and Qu Qiubai also gradually developed feelings and married in January 1924.

Unfortunately, six months after her marriage, Wang Jianhong died of lung disease in Shanghai, when she was only 23 years old.

Wang Jianhong's death was an unusually painful blow to Qu Qiubai, he was unable to cheer up for a while, at this time Yang Zhihua, who was studying at Shanghai University, intersected with Qu Qiubai because of an activity, and knew that he had just lost his beloved wife.

Yang Zhihua was originally married, but because of the unfortunate marriage, after learning that Qu Qiubai and his wife Wang Jianhong had a good relationship, but his wife died prematurely due to illness, he was very understanding and sympathetic to Qu Qiubai, so he would often take care of and enlighten Qu Qiubai in life.

Qu Qiubai, who lost his beloved wife, gradually came out of the shadow of sadness under the care of Yang Zhihua, and gradually fell in love with the sympathetic Yang Zhihua, and Yang Zhihua had admired this teacher who was only two years older than himself before, and he liked this talented man in the interaction.

However, it was very helpless that Yang Zhihua was already married at that time, and he also had a young daughter.

Therefore, although Yang Zhihua also admired Qu Qiubai very much from the heart, considering her own situation, she still avoided this feeling by hiding back in Xiaoshan's hometown.

Qu Qiubai died at the age of 36, and the pre-execution photos were fearless, and the two demands made the executioner feel deeply ashamed

But even so, the persistent Qu Qiubai still couldn't let go of his thoughts about Yang Zhihua, so he took advantage of the gap between the school's summer vacations and chased all the way to Xiaoshan.

At that time, Yang Zhihua's brother saw Qu Qiubai as a talented person, and he was also very temperamental between conversations, thinking that this was a life partner worthy of his sister, compared to his brother-in-law who was addicted to the lights and wine every day, it was a world of difference.

Therefore, the eldest brother-in-law took matters into his own hands and summoned his brother-in-law Shen Jianlong, and asked Qu Qiubai, Yang Zhihua and Shen Jianlong to sit down for an open and honest 'negotiation'.

Such negotiations, under normal circumstances, will eventually develop into a big fight, because no matter how bad the husband is, he cannot accept another man's pursuit of his wife.

However, although Shen Jianlong has no ambition and covets to eat, drink and have fun, he is still relatively reasonable on the whole, and he also knows that he is not worthy of Yang Zhihua, who is ideologically advanced, so after an open and honest negotiation, Shen Jianlong took the initiative to dissolve the marriage relationship with Yang Zhihua.

Not only that, later at the wedding of Qu Qiubai and Yang Zhihua, Shen Jianlong also came to the scene to congratulate him, and then he also became friends with Qu Qiubai, and the two often communicated in letters.

And Qu Qiubai and Yang Zhihua both because they have experienced marriage, but also experienced their own stings, so finally came together, they feel cherished, on the day of the wedding, Qu Qiubai also used his meager income to buy a beautiful brooch for Yang Zhihua, and carved such seven words on the brooch - "give me a partner of life".

This brooch, after Qu Qiubai's sacrifice, Yang Zhihua has been carrying it with her and accompanying her for decades.

And Yang Zhihua has also been deeply in love with Qu Qiubai, there is his adopted daughter Qu Duyi, that is, the daughter born to Yang Zhihua and her ex-husband Shen Jianlong.

Qu Qiubai died at the age of 36, and the pre-execution photos were fearless, and the two demands made the executioner feel deeply ashamed

The daughter's original name was Shen Xiaoguang, and after living with Qu Qiubai and Yang Zhihua, Qu Qiubai personally changed the name of her daughter to Qu Duyi, taking a unique harmonic sound.

And what Qu Qiubai gave to this daughter was not only this unique name, but also a unique father's love.

As we said earlier, Yang Zhihua's ex-husband is a wandering prince who lacks family responsibility, so he is not affectionate with his wife and daughter, while Qu Qiubai is different, he treats Duyi like his own child.

On this point, Qu Duyi wrote in his article recalling his father:

My father was very kind to me, no matter how busy he was, as long as he had a little free time, he would pick me up at the kindergarten. When I was at home, he taught me to write and draw by hand.

In 1928, Qu Duyi went to the Soviet Union with his parents to participate in the Sixth National Congress, every day when the meeting was suspended, Qu Qiubai would take his daughter to the woods to pick wildflowers, or use paper folded into birds to tease her daughter to play, in winter, the ground was covered with thick snow felt, Qu Qiubai pulled a sleigh to play in the snow, and sometimes he would deliberately pretend to fall, just to hear his daughter's childish laughter.

In the early spring of 1929, Qu Qiubai went to the sanatorium twice due to illness, and during that time, because he missed his wife and daughter, he would often write to Yang Zhihua, and the most talked about in the letter was his daughter Qu Duyi.

Qu Qiubai told Yang Zhihua very unabashedly in his letter: "I always dream about you and Duyi every day. ”

Later, Yang Zhihua wanted to work, Qu Duyi was sent to a children's nursing home because there was no kindergarten nearby, where both boys and girls had to shave their heads, Qu Duyi was sad for a long time, qu Qiubai wrote to her:

Dui, my good Duyi, your hair is cut and shaved? Haha, Duyi has become a little monk, and the good father's hair has grown, but he is not a big monk. Do you write letters in Russian? You have to listen to your husband, listen to your mother, and be good to your classmates. I like you, the well-behaved little duyi, the little monk.

The end of this letter is 'good father', and Qu Duyi also calls Qu Qiubai in her life, because for her biological father, Qu Qiubai is really uniquely good, and Qu Qiubai's love for Qu Duyi is definitely worthy of this title.

However, this father-daughter relationship only lasted for about ten years, Qu Qiubai was arrested and imprisoned, and Qu Duyi's memory of her father stopped at the age of 14, but the love given to her by her father accompanied her for a long life.

Qu Qiubai died at the age of 36, and the pre-execution photos were fearless, and the two demands made the executioner feel deeply ashamed

In 1935, after the main force of the Central Red Army left the Jiangxi Soviet Area to begin the Long March, the Kuomintang "encircled and suppressed" the Soviet Area, and Qu Qiubai, who was lying on a stretcher and crossing the mountains and mountains because of severe lung disease, was arrested by the enemy.

After being imprisoned, the enemy tried to get something out of his mouth, and even took out the high-ranking official Houlu to tempt him, but Qu Qiubai was resolutely unmoved.

In fact, from the very beginning Qu Qiubai realized that he had stubbornly resisted and that in the end there was only one way to die, but he would rather die for the people's revolutionary cause than live in a dignified way for some temptations of the enemy.

Therefore, the story appears at the beginning of the scene, the enemy after several months of circling with Qu Qiubai, finally can't bear it, escorted him to the execution ground, and Qu Qiubai even at the last moment of his life, he is still fearless, on the contrary, he is more frank and calm than those hateful executioners.

When the enemy took him to the execution ground and asked him if he had any final demands, Qu Qiubai stared sharply at the executioner in front of him and made two demands:

First, you can't die on your knees, you have to sit.

Second, you can't hit him on the head.

Qu Qiubai's two demands before his execution made the executioners present feel ashamed, in fact, their final interrogation of him was also to give him the last chance, trying to give Qu Qiubai the slightest fear or weakness, so that they could take out a lot of valuable clues from his mouth, but Qu Qiubai did not flinch even in the face of death.

In the end, the hero was summarily executed.

His 36-year-old life was drawn by the executioner to end with blood, but it is also his great righteousness and heroism that inspires more ancestors to fight bloody battles again and again, so we have won this prosperous and safe present for us, so, here, we offer the highest respect, remember the heroes, and remember history!
