Born in Moscow, Soviet Union in 1928, Zhai Yunying returned to Dalian, China, with his parents when he was just 1 year old. Unfortunately, within a few years of returning to China, his father was killed by the Japanese for participating in the anti-Japanese action, and Zhai Yunying had to live and work in Dalian with his mother.
In 1945, Liu Yalou was transferred to the northeast, and when passing through Dalian, The mayor of Dalian, Han Guang, said that he wanted to introduce him to an object, that is, Zhai Yunying.
That year, Zhai Yunying was only 17 years old, and Liu Yalou was already 35 years old, and had been married three times, even Liu Yalou himself felt inappropriate, but Zhai Yunying, who was ideologically progressive, took a fancy to Liu Yalou and offered to take him to his home to meet his mother.
Liu Yalou had lived in the Soviet Union for 6 years, and he also had deep feelings for the Soviet Union and spoke fluent Russian, so Zhai Yunying's mother was also very fond of him and quickly agreed to the marriage between the two.
On Labor Day in 1947, the two were officially married, and the person who officiated for them was Han Guang, the mayor of Dalian.
In July 1949, when the whole country was about to be liberated, Liu Yalou was ordered to go to Moscow to prepare for the preparation of the new Chinese air force. After Zhai Yunying heard about it, she said to Liu Yalou, I was born in Moscow, and my mother often said that there are relatives in Moscow, so I want to go with you to find my relatives.
But Liu Yalou refused on the spot, saying that I went to Moscow to look for relatives? I'm going to work, what are you doing? Our army has many people with ties in the SOVIET Union, and if they all go with their relatives, can the train be taken down?
Zhai Yunying had no choice but to ask her mother to come forward. When my mother-in-law came, Liu Yalou was not able to say directly, but could only say that the relationship between China and the Soviet Union was so good, and there will be opportunities to find relatives in the future, not this time. The mother-in-law understood the son-in-law's distress and was no longer reluctant.
However, after Zhou Gong heard about this incident, he said that Zhai Yunying's father, Zhai Fengqi, was a Soviet Red Army, and that after returning to China, he resisted the Japanese invaders and was a martyr, and he could approve Zhai Yunying to go to the Soviet Union with him.
Although there was zhou gong's approval, Liu Yalou still warned Zhai Yunying that the search for relatives should be low-key, not to go around making noises, and not to trouble the Soviet side.
After arriving in Moscow, Zhai Yunying could only go to find relatives on her own, but Moscow was so big and there was not much information to find it. In fact, as long as Liu Yalou talks to the Soviet side, this problem should not be difficult to solve, but Liu Yalou said, I came this time to do big things for the country, if I go to trouble the Soviet staff for my own family affairs, what will people think?
After returning to China, Liu Yalou personally went to explain to his mother-in-law, who was also reasonable and said that he was not in a hurry and would look for it later.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, because of the needs of work, Liu Yalou often went to Moscow, but when he arrived in Moscow, he was too busy to find his wife's relatives, so every time he went home, Liu Yalou had to apologize to his mother-in-law and wife.
Although the mother-in-law and wife were unhappy in their hearts, they also understood Liu Yalou and kept this matter in their hearts.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Zhai Yunying was admitted to East China Medical University in Shanghai, but she felt that Liu Yalou had no one to take care of, so she was ready to give up her studies and concentrate on taking care of Liu Yalou.

Although Liu Yalou did not encounter a plane crash, he died of illness in 1965 at the age of 55 due to years of fatigue. Before his death, he was most relieved by Zhai Yunying, who was only 37 years old at that time, and before Liu Yalou died, he asked her to remarry many times, but she always disagreed, and raised three children alone.
