In the 1980s, Dong Xiangkun, a Jingdong drum performance artist, took Wang Dahai, the son of the famous Tianjin seasonal actor Wang Yubao, as an apprentice, and the worship ceremony was held at the Tianjin First Workers' Cultural Palace. After the ceremony, Su Wenmao performed a stand-up comedy "Ome Boiled Wine on Heroes". After the whole activity, the author and Bai Quanfu were walking in the small garden of the Cultural Palace, when Su Wenmao came over and asked, "Third Uncle, you can tell me about the small section I made." Bai Quanfu nodded, but before he could speak, Su Wenmao was called away by someone else. Bai Quanfu asked the author, "What did Wen Mao say just now?"

Bai Quanfu really did not hear, and at this time his ears were almost completely deaf. However, at that time, "Changbai" was still active on the stage, and frequently launched new paragraphs. Bai Quanfu and Chang Baoting officially became partners in 1945, and the cooperation between the two was not accidental, but carefully arranged by Chang Baoting's father, Chang Lian'an.

Before working with Bai Quanfu, Chang Baoting had always been praised by his father for him. Bai Quanfu came from a family of entertainers, and his grandfather Bai Qinglin was famous for his "Flying in the Clouds of the Eight Monsters of the Flying Bridge", who won this nickname for attracting the audience with his somersault kung fu, and became famous for creating funny Erhuang. Bai Quanfu's father, Bai Baoshan, not only inherited the skills of funny erhuang, but also performed cross-talk, which was named "Little Cloud Flying". But when he arrived at Bai Quanfu, he failed to inherit the funny two yellows, and he couldn't turn over his heels, so he got a nickname "Flying Can't Move". However, he inherited the style of his father and uncle Bai Baoting (Jiao Dehai's disciple) in speaking cross-talk, and he was also passed on by his master and cross-talk to Yu Junbo, and his skills were very superb. When he was a teenager, Bai Quanfu worked with Hou Baolin, who was one year older than him, and later partnered with Famous Artists such as Luo Rongshou and Guo Quanbao.
The reason why Chang Lian'an asked Bai Quanfu to give his son Chang Baoting a praise is because Bai Quanfu is slightly older, has a longer practice time on the stage, and has more performance experience than his son; The second is because he knows his son's artistic characteristics very well. Xiangshengxing has a saying of "handsome, selling, strange, bad", and there is also a saying of "not occupying a strange, occupying a handsome", which refers to both the appearance of the actor and the style of the performance. Chang Baoting looks handsome and handsome, and can take a handsome. What kind of self-bliss does self-bliss belong to? blame? Less. For a day's work, except for the lines of the paragraph itself, the two people basically did not say anything else. Three days later, Chang Baoting said to his father, "I don't want Brother Quanfu to measure my life, so you can find me another one to hold."

Chang Lian'an was very surprised to hear it, before choosing Bai Quanfu to measure the work of the third son, it was completely tailor-made, how could the son be unwilling? After inquiry, I learned that it was because my son felt that Bai Quanfu was silent. Chang Lian'an asked his son, "Are you talking too much?" The son shook his head. Chang Lian'an said, "Then you should say a few more words." When it was time to live again, Chang Baoting's words became more, and Bai Quanfu's words gradually increased. However, I never expected that the first time the two performed on stage, Bai Quanfu actually "ate chestnuts", that is, he hit Ben Er when speaking the lines, fortunately, Chang Baoting reacted quickly, and quickly used the next line to circle over, and the audience did not hear it at all. However, Chang Baoting was very uncomfortable in his heart, and felt that Bai Quanfu was not good at all, thinking that the two were inappropriate to partner. After returning home after a break in the evening, Chang Baoting told his father about "eating chestnuts" during Bai Quanfu's performance, and asked his father to find a new partner for him again. Chang Lian'an reached out and gave his son a mouth and said to him, "You have given me to remember, you Quanfu Brother stood for you, the most suitable!" After Chang Lian'an said this, he pushed the door and left. He had never beaten Chang Baoting once, and this beating, Chang Baoting no longer dared to disobey his father. Over the next few days, his words became less frequent. But within a few days, the words changed again. This is because Bai Quanfu no longer "eats chestnuts", and the timing of "handing over the shoulder" is very well mastered, that is, the lines that assist the comic narration such as "um", "ah", "yes" are said at the right time, sometimes one or two words that were not originally available pop up, which is exactly what Chang Baoting needs, and gradually Chang Baoting realizes that the effect of Bai Quanfu's work is no less than that of his father, and naturally, he respects this partner more and more, and also realizes how wise his father's choice was.
