Cross-talk examination 150: Bai Quanfu of the cross-talk family "Jiaojiamen"
Bai Quanfu, born in 1919, is a native of Beijing and of Manchu ethnicity.
The Bai Quanfu family is a family of qu artists and has always been prominent. His grandfather Bai Qinglin is one of the famous "Eight Monsters of Tianqiao" "Flying in the Clouds", his father Bai Baoshan is "Xiaoyun Lifei", his stage name is naturally related to his grandfather and father's stage name, but unfortunately he does not perform funny Peking Opera like his grandfather and father, so his stage name has become "Flying". However, he still followed his father to learn a period of funny Peking Opera, but still loved cross-talk, so he took a different path of music and art from his grandfather and father: at the age of 15, he followed his second uncle Bai Baoting to say cross-talk, and at the age of 18, he studied with Yu Junbo. Why is Bai Qinglin called "Flying in the Clouds"? It is said that the head kung fu is very good, can jump from the flat ground, in the air two consecutive heels, as if churning in the clouds, so everyone gave him "fly in the clouds" Ya number. Lao Tzu's hero is a good man, and "Little Cloud Flying" is also very good at turning over his head, and he can turn over more than fifty times in one breath. "Flying in the clouds" is the eighth monster of the second generation of the flyover, and "Little Cloud Flying" is the eighth monster of the third generation of the flyover.
Although Yu Junbo was Zhang Shouchen's disciple, this cattle man Jiao Dehai admitted. He partnered with Dai Shaofu and ranked among the "five grades of cross-talk" in Tianjin, which shows that he is good at cross-talk. Bai Quanfu was 18 years old to worship the teacher, this year is 1937, after leaving the school, Bai Quanfu came to Jinan to perform, when the same stage also performed Luo Rongshou, Guo Quanbao, etc.; these three people together have a graceful name called "Bai Luo Guo" (Bai Luo Guo). By the way, Bai Baoting, the second uncle of Bai Quanfu, was one of the four apprentices that Jiao Dehai recognized, and he was also a cattle man. It is precisely because of this relationship that Bai Quanfu studied with Yu Junbo. Acquaintances are good at doing things, and the brothers and sisters of the second uncle are better at doing things. Before he left school, he had partnered with Hou Baolin for a while. At this time, Hou Baolin played in baibaoshan's drama team, also said crosstalk, and often said "work" to Bai Quanfu. It was also this special experience that allowed the two to form a deep friendship. At that time, in order to earn money, Hou Baolin said cross-talk in the field of his master Jiao Dehai in the morning, and sang "Funny Er Huang" in the drama class of Bai Baoshan in the afternoon. Bai Baoting was also a disciple of jiaojiamen, so Hou Baolin could string the scenes in two fields. In addition, Bai Quanfu also studied with Yu Junbo, and the master was also Jiao Dehai, and Hou Baolin was considered to be a brother of the same disciple, so naturally there was no gap.
In 1942, Bai Quanfu returned to Beijing, joined Chang Lian'an's Qiming Tea House, and partnered with Chang Baoting, the third son of the Chang family, "Three Mushrooms", and won a lot of praise in the cross-talk industry. Why was Bai Quanfu able to join the Chang family's Qiming Tea House and partner with the "three mushrooms" Chang Baoting? Because Chang Lian'an was Zhang Shouchen's disciple and a disciple of Jiao Jiamen; in addition, Chang Lian'an was a very intelligent person, and the partner he chose for his son was definitely a handsome talent in the cross-talk circle, and he took a fancy to this master and nephew, so he deliberately pulled him to his side. Chang Lian'an's partner for the eldest son, "Little Mushroom" Chang Baokunla, was also absolutely amazing: Zhao Peiru, the master of the Tongtian Sect. It is the immortal partner of Zhao Peiru and Chang Baokun that has achieved Chang Baokun's status in the cross-talk circle. Why did you find Zhao Peiru? Because Chang Lian'an and Zhao Peiru's old father Zhao Xixian are brothers.
Chang Baoting and Bai Quanfu were lifelong partners on the cross-talk stage; from the age of 14 (1943) the two began to cooperate until Bai Quanfu died in 1993, a full half century. Chang Baoting's daughter once said bluntly: "Since the death of Elder Bai, my father has no longer performed on stage. After Chang Baoting died, he was also buried in Bai Lao's cemetery, and the two continued to work together. Chang Baokun and Zhao Peiru, the pair, were also paired, and they were not separated until Chang Baokun's death. It cannot but be said that Chang Lian'an looks at people and looks at things very accurately.
After liberation, Bai Quanfu, a Beijinger, came to Tianjin and walked around various music and art societies in Tianjin, including Tianjin Red Wind Music Art Society, Tianjin Radio Rap Troupe, tianjin Qu Art Troupe, and so on.
During the Cultural Revolution, Bai Quanfu was tortured, and his nerves were out of order, his mouth was crooked, his ears were deaf, and his body did not listen to his commands. Even so tragically, after the political return to normal track, Bai Quanfu rejuvenated the second spring and actually returned to the stage.
In 1993, Bai Quanfu died at the age of 74.
Bai Quanfu's artistic style can be summarized in 16 words: "There is amusing in the praise, to help each other, funny and eye-catching, enthusiastic and bold." ”
Bai Quanfu's representative works include "Different Styles", "Listening to the Radio", "Pig Fan", "Learning from Him", "Waterwheel Problem", "A New Flower", "Laughing Disaster", "Zhuge Liang in Distress", "What to Love", "Behind the Scenes", "Moral Court" and so on.
Bai Quanfu received 18 apprentices, including Yang Zhigang, Fang Guoqun, Jiao Yueshu, Yang Zhiguang, Ah Shuangquan, Wang Jixiang, Zhang Zhikuan, Li Guoquan, Cui Changwu, Wu Yunlin, Zhou Guilin, Yan Jincheng, Zhang Wenqi, Zhang Boxun, Song Yong, Bai Longyan, Jin Zhaoqing, and Liu Xueren.
Bai Quanfu's popularity in the cross-talk circle is very good, and the text generations lower than him always shout "three uncles, three uncles" when they meet. For example, once Su Wenmao made "Qingmei Boiled Wine on Heroes", Bai Quanfu also listened to it offstage, looking intently and engrossed. Su Wenmao finished his work, and Bai Quanfu warmly applauded. Su Wenmao asked him, "Third Uncle, how about this piece of 'life' you heard me say?" Bai Quanfu smiled and nodded, "Hmm! Later, Bai Quanfu's sidekicks said, "Just now, what did Wen Mao say?" The man said, "Oh, he asked you how about this passage he made?" Unexpectedly, Bai Quanfu asked in a surprising way: "Which passage did Wen Mao make?" The man laughed, "Do you dare you hear anything?" Bai Quanfu said, "I forgot to wear a hearing aid today." It turned out that Bai Quanfu was tortured during the Cultural Revolution and was deaf in his ears. He cooperated with Chang Baoting on the stage and had a tacit understanding, completely relying on Chang Baoting's mouth shape to "measure the work". Absolutely, right? I couldn't hear what I was saying, but I could shake the baggage crisply, not once or twice, but many times. God has it.
How good is Bai Quanfu's popularity? Hou Baolin once publicly introduced Bai Quanfu: "This is a living bodhisattva in our cross-talk world! ”
Bai Quanfu's son Bai Jincheng also said cross-talk. Who is his master? Good guess, his father's partner Chang Baoting. If a pair of partners is paired for a long time, they often accept each other's children as apprentices, in the words of Guo Degang, "each other has hostages." ”
