Yuan Wen would meddle in the Quyi Class, one was to make money, and the other was to have fun. After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the fall of Tianjin, the traitor Chen Yan and the villain Yu Jialin organized a class to occupy Yanle Shengping in Nanshi, and invited Bai Yunpeng and Dai Shaofu from Beijing. After the opening of the Qingyun Theater, the United Society performed music in the first half, drums and cross-talk, and in the second half, it performed civilized dramas, just like cross-talk dramas. The first anti-string play is "Curtain Tailoring". Cross-talk actors can generally sing a few pieces of Peking Opera, imitate the famous actors' singing, and magicians participate in the performance, the scene is brilliant, the box office is particularly popular, and there are six consecutive days and six performances, and the venue is full.
The Associated Society also invited Peking Opera teachers to give guidance, and successively rehearsed dozens of jokes such as "Visiting Relatives", "Playing With Bars", "Hitting Cherries", "Striking Knives", "Splitting Coffins", "Spinning Cotton", etc. The actors played on the stage, gaged, sang and danced to make the audience laugh. These civilization dramas are similar to farces, exposing the world, often divorced from the plot plus a large section of preaching, and sometimes in exchange for applause.

One of the most successful jokes of the Associated Press was the new fashion play "The Murder of Lian Ying", which was written based on the facts that happened in Shanghai, that is, Guo Degang's later commentary "Shoot Yan Ruisheng" and Jiang Wen's film "One Step Away".
Chen Yanan as Yan Ruisheng, Chang Baokun as Lian Yingmu in front, "Big Leather Bag" in the back, Qin Peixian and Zhao Peiru as Xiao Er in the sub-decoration shop, and Hua Qiyun as Lian Ying. This play puts the sleeve of the big magic on the stage, and with the lighting, the atmosphere is particularly gloomy. Two performances a day and night, forty consecutive days, the venue is full. At that time, the peking opera famous actors in Tianjin performed, and sometimes the attendance rate was only 30% or 40%.
Once performed to "stay in the hotel", Yan Ruisheng, who killed Lian Ying, lived in the shop, met Lian Ying's ghost to find him to settle accounts, because there was a large section of singing, Chen Yanan secretly told Hua Qiyun in the background: "Little sister, you don't chase me today, I am too tired, you go after Baokun, I will buy you candy to eat." In "Staying in the Hotel", Yan Ruisheng is afraid of ghosts, and lives in a room with the big leather bag, which fills a new night pot with boiled water and puts it on the small cabinet next to the bed, ready to drink at night. In the middle of the night, Yan Ruisheng wanted a small solution, did not dare to go out, wanted to solve it in the room, picked up the night pot and went down the stage to turn around and come back, which means that the small solution was completed and placed in the same place. After a while, the big leather wrapped up, picked up the night pot and drank it, and after drinking it, he said: "Yo, it doesn't taste right, how sour is it, what kind of water is this?" "The audience was happy to lean forward and backward.
After the drama "Begonias" became popular in Shanghai, the Associated Society rehearsed the play and renamed it "Front desk and backstage", Chang Baokun played Yuan Baofan, and Chen Yanan played Begonia. Chen Yanan acted in a string of plays, sang the Peking opera "Chasing Han Xin", and studied Zhou Xinfang. He also acted in plays such as "Empty Valley Orchid" and "Bottle of Brandy", in short, it is endless. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Yuan Wenhui fell, and the Lianyi Society was reorganized into a brother performing theater troupe, Chang Baokun was the head of the troupe, and he once performed in Beiping, and he was famous for his time, because Chang Baokun's stage name was Little Mushroom, and some old audiences called the brother theater troupe "Mushroom Troupe".
