In 1931, 9-year-old Chang Baokun, under the recommendation of Chen Rongqi, studied cross-talk with Zhang Shouchen as a teacher. At the beginning, he had been partnering with his father Chang Lian'an, playing with children. This cross-talk kid was very red, red and purple. One of the things that Chang Baokun talks about is that when he was 18 years old, he matchmaking his aunt and found an uncle for himself. Who is Chang Baokun looking for for her aunt? Guo Rongqi, the son of Guo Ruilin. Guo Rongqi was Ma Delu's apprentice and a cattle man. In 1940, Guo Ruilin died of illness in Tianjin, at this time Guo Rongqi was selling art in Jinzhou; after receiving the news of his father's death, Guo Rongqi immediately rushed back to Tianjin. After the little mushroom knew, he asked Chen Shihe to feast on Guo Rongqi together. Two things were decided at the table: Guo Rong performed at the Qiming Tea House opened by Changjia in Beijing; and he guaranteed the media for Guo Rongqi and his aunt Chang Junting.

Subsequently, Guo Rongqi went to the Beijing Qiming Tea House. At first, Guo Rongqi gave the second mushroom Chang Baolin a hug, and later, according to the opinions of the audience, Chang Baolin gave Guo Rongqi a hug.

In the year when Guo Rongqi and Chang Junting were married, under chang Lian'an's arrangement, 12-year-old Chang Baoting worshiped Guo Rongqi as a teacher. It's a kiss.

It is said that Chang Baokun is a very hard worker, regards cross-talk as a person of life, and often studies hard. He and Zhao Peiru often took the tram to rush to the scene, and they talked to each other on the tram; because of their mental concentration, they sat on the station many times. When Chang Baokun was eating at home, he also did not know that because of his words, chopsticks often fell to the ground. Because there were many families and there was no separate room, he would go to the toilet to recite words; however, at that time, the toilet was shared by several families, so as soon as he entered the toilet, someone would cover his stomach outside the toilet and jump around.

The famous small mushroom Chang Baokun is also very backbone, he often hangs the Japanese, and often uses the Japanese to grab the baggage with his partner Zhao Peiru. Naturally, this kind of behavior greatly annoyed the gendarmerie, so they arrested and released them until the end of the War of Resistance. The integrity and courage of the little mushroom is also the fundamental reason why his status in the field of new Chinese art is so high.

Chang Baokun took in his disciples Li Boren and Su Wenmao. Su Wenmao is known as the "Master of Literature".

Chang Baokun and Sang Xiuru had two sons and a daughter, namely the eldest son Chang Guitian, the second son Chang Guixiang and the daughter Chang Hong.
