In 1990, when an old man came to the Banzai Army, Wei Wei was shocked: I didn't think you were still alive

author:Jiang Ling that year

One day in February 1990, an old man, led by his cousin, suddenly came to the 38th Army stationed in Baoding at the time and knocked on the door of the Political Department.

The officers of the Political Department hurriedly asked the old man what was going on here, and the old man thought about it, but he couldn't say it several times in a row, and finally he could only take out a primary school language textbook from the bag he was carrying, and then turn to one of the pages, point to a few words inside, and say: "I am this person." Everyone looked up and was immediately surprised, and it turned out that the place where the old man turned to was the text "Who is the most lovely person?" "Who is the Most Lovely Person" is written by the famous writer Wei Wei, which is a reportage written by him according to the situation on the battlefield after returning from the front line of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. As soon as this article was published, it shouted out the voice of the times and the people, and touched countless Chinese, who were full of emotions for the arduous struggle of the frontline volunteer soldiers. The place the old man was referring to was nothing else, but a name, called "Li Yu'an".

In 1990, when an old man came to the Banzai Army, Wei Wei was shocked: I didn't think you were still alive

Li Yu'an

The theme of "Who's the Cutest Man" is set in the Battle of Songkufeng, which took place during the Second Campaign. At that time, in order to prevent the US troops from continuing to advance towards the Yalu River, the volunteers launched counterattacks on the eastern and western fronts. The battle in the east is the famous Battle of Chosin Lake, and the Battle of Songku peak in the west is no less than the Battle of Chosin Lake. At that time, in order to pursue the American troops fleeing south, the 335th Regiment of the 112th Division of the 38th Army of the Volunteer Army was ordered to penetrate south to the line of Songkuo Peak to prevent the American troops from continuing to flee south.

In order to survive, the US army desperately launched a fierce attack on the positions on the front line of Songkuo Peak, but under the courageous struggle of the soldiers of our volunteer army, it finally blocked the US army and created conditions for the final annihilation of a large number of enemy troops. It was precisely because of the heroic performance of all the officers and men of the 38th Army during the second campaign that Peng Dehuai, commander-in-chief of the Volunteer Army, was able to add the words "Long live the Chinese Volunteer Army and long live the Thirty-eighth Army" at the end of the commendation telegram, and the 38th Army was thus called the famous Long Live Army. In order to stop the enemy, the 335th Regiment also made great sacrifices in the Battle of Songkuofeng, including Li Yu'an and others, who were one of the fourteen martyrs mentioned by Wei Wei in the Battle of Songkuofeng in "Who is the Loveliest Person", and he ranked tenth.

The officers were astonished, at this time, nearly forty years had passed since the Battle of Songkuofeng, and they did not expect that Li Yu'an, who had become a martyr, was still alive. The old man was afraid that the crowd would not believe him, so he quickly took out his disability certificate, which clearly wrote his name, combat experience, and the cause of the disability. At this moment, everyone believed that the old man was really Li Yu'an. Later, Li Yu'an also told everyone his story.

Li Yu'an was the deputy squad leader of the second platoon machine gun squad of the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Company of the 335th Regiment, and under the leadership of company commander Dai Ruyi, they were ordered to rush to the front line of Songkuo Peak on November 30 to block the enemy. What no one expected was that the enemy's degree of mechanization was too high, and the speed of the road was far beyond that of the volunteer soldiers who walked on two legs alone, and as a result, when the 3 companies arrived at Songbone Peak, the enemy also arrived, and it was too late to build any fortifications. In this case, the soldiers of the 3rd Company did not give up, they relied on flesh and blood to block the fierce attack of enemy tanks and aircraft. At that time, the 8th class was at the forefront, and the casualties were also the largest, and Li Yu'an was soon ordered to lead people to support the 8th class. After a long period of fighting, the 3rd Company repelled many enemy attacks, but it also suffered heavy casualties, Dai Ruyi and instructor Yang Shaocheng and others fell one after another, and the entire 3rd Company was left with deputy company commander Yang Wenhai, the correspondent, Li Yu'an and five other soldiers. After repelling the enemy's attack again, there were only four people left on the position: Li Yu'an, a soldier surnamed Cai, Yang Wenhai, and a messenger.

Seeing that Yang Wenhai had been seriously injured, Li Yu'an hurriedly asked the messengers to carry Yang Wenhai on his back and retreat one after another, while he continued to stay in the position with the soldiers surnamed Cai. Soon after, the enemy launched another attack, and the warriors surnamed Cai were soon killed, leaving Li Yu'an alone. After dropping the last grenade, Li Yu'an was also shot and fell. However, Li Yu'an did not die after being shot, and the bullet passed through his right chest and shot out from the back. It wasn't until that night that Li Yu'an woke up from his coma, only to feel that there were corpses all around him, he knew that he was injured in the chest, but he didn't know what the specific situation was, he only felt that his hands and feet could still move, and he thought that he couldn't wait for death in the same place, so he climbed down the mountain. When climbing down the mountain, Li Yu'an saw Yang Wenhai and the communicator, the two were also sacrificed, he estimated that the entire 3 companies only left him as a living person, gritted his teeth and continued to climb forward, but felt that the blood was flowing more and more, and it was almost over.

Just when Li Yu'an was about to be unable to hold on, there was no way out, and he met a commander of the Korean People's Army. Even more coincidentally, this trumpeter fought guerrilla warfare in the Changbai Mountains during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and could speak Chinese. After some conversation, the commander carried Li Yu'an to a house, gave him a simple stop to the bleeding, left some dry food and left, because he also had a task on his body and urgently needed to rush back to the army. Shortly after the trumpeter left, Li Yu'an was unconscious again. When he woke up again, there were new people in the house, and the two sides talked down, and it turned out to be comrades of the 334 regiment. They quickly sent Li Yu'an back to a cave where the 112th Division's divisional hospital was located.

In 1990, when an old man came to the Banzai Army, Wei Wei was shocked: I didn't think you were still alive

Because Li Yu'an was so badly injured, he still couldn't get better after the operation, so he had to be transferred back to China and entered the Yipo Hospital in Harbin for treatment. However, it was still not cured here, so I had to transfer to the military hospital in Wuhan again, and after 8 operations before and after, it was still not good, and finally it was only by relying on a doctor who returned from Japan to take out the broken bones embedded in the bone marrow, and then slowly improved. After this tossing and turning, although there was no problem in life, it was certainly impossible to go to the battlefield again, and Li Yu'an soon transferred to the Luohe Leather Factory as an ordinary worker.

Although Li Yu'an was a native of Shandong, he went to the northeast to do hard work at a very young age, and he has always been more familiar with the northeast, so he asked to return to the northeast. In 1952, Li Yu'an returned to Bayan County, Heilongjiang, where he joined the army, in 1946. After Li Yu'an returned, he did not ask the organization for any request, but worked as an ordinary worker in the grain depot in Xinglong Town.

At the same time, because the 3 companies did not find survivors at that time, Li Yu'an and others were regarded as martyrs, and were written by Wei Wei into "Who is the Most Lovely Person". It wasn't until 1964 that Li Yu'an learned that he had become a martyr. At that time, the county civil affairs bureau asked for a unified replacement of the disability certificate, and Li Yu'an met a man named Wang Jiuhai there, the two of them were previously a company, but Wang Jiuhai was later transferred to the battalion headquarters as a messenger.

Wang Jiuhai couldn't believe it when he saw Li Yu'an, he read it several times, and finally determined that what was in front of him was Li Yu'an: "Aren't you Li Yu'an?" You were still alive, and there was a memorial service for you in the army, and I attended. At this time, Li Yu'an knew that the original troops thought he was dead, but he did not pay attention to it, after all, he was rescued by the 334 regiment, the 334 regiment did not know his name at that time, and it was normal for the 335 regiment not to know the news.

Later, with the selection of "Who is the Most Lovely Person" into the textbook, more and more people knew the name of Li Yu'an, and even Li Yu'an's eldest son ran back to ask if Li Yu'an was him. To this end, Li Yu'an also deliberately let people read "Who is the most lovely person" to him several times, and he was sure that the "Li Yu'an" written on it was himself. What I didn't expect was that other people around them didn't believe it, they felt that there were too many people with the same name and surname, and if Li Yu'an was really a martyr above, how could he live so hard. Only Li Yu'an understood in his heart that what was written on it must be him, not only because of the Battle of Songbone Peak, but also because the other names mentioned were comrades-in-arms he was very familiar with, and even Zhao Xijie, the commander of the 1st Platoon of the 3 Company, his introducer to the party.

Later, even the grain depot knew about Li Yu'an, and they told Li Yu'an that if he was really the martyr mentioned above, if he went to the organization at this time, he could get at least a subsidy of a few dozen yuan a month. Li Yu'an had a total of three sons and three daughters at that time, and it was very difficult to live on a meager salary, and dozens of yuan was a lot of money for their family. However, Li Yu'an did not admit it this time, only saying that it was a person with the same name and surname, because in his view, the country was in a period of construction, and there were so many martyrs who sacrificed for the country, if they all went to the state subsidies, the country could bear it. Besides, so many comrades-in-arms have been sacrificed, and they are still alive and can still work, and they do not need to rely on the state to support themselves. After that, Li Yu'an's young daughter could not find a job, and his wife hoped that Li Yu'an would find the government and find a way to help solve it. Li Yu'an still did not let up and was unwilling to cause trouble to the country.

Until Li Yu'an's youngest son grew up, he also wanted to join the army like his father, but he did not succeed for four consecutive years, so he sought out his father, hoping that his father could think of a way for him. Li Yu'an always felt in his heart that being a soldier was a good thing and could contribute to the country, and he thought that if he wanted to be a soldier, he must also return to his old unit, so he moved the idea of looking for the old troops. However, many years had passed by this time, and the 38th Army had already entered the customs, and it could not be found outside the customs at all. It was not until 1990, when a cousin of Li Yu'an returned from a business trip to Guannei, that he learned that the old troops were now in Baoding, so he came looking for them.

Speaking of his own requirements, Li Yu'an was very embarrassed, and hesitated repeatedly before he said: "My hometown is in Yanggu, Shandong, I have not asked for people since I was a child, at the age of 16, I went to the northeast alone to break into the Guandong, and after joining the army in 1946, I fought siping, Tianjin, and crossed the Yangtze River, and made three great achievements. He was already a deputy platoon leader at the time of the Battle of the River Crossing, but because of his temper, he beat a soldier who had fallen behind, was demoted to deputy squad leader, and went to fight in Korea. Over the years, I have never told anyone that I have any merit, nor have I ever opened my mouth to the government, this time it is really the youngest son who wants to become a soldier, there is no way, only to find it. Speaking of this, Li Yu'an's face turned red at once.

After his son's problem was solved, Li Yu'an was invited back to the 335th Regiment to tell the story of the former Battle of Songkuofeng to the young soldiers. When it comes to the scene of the sacrifice of his former comrades-in-arms, Li Yu'an once again can't help but cry. This incident not only alarmed the 38th Army, but also alarmed Wei Wei, who was far away in Beijing. Wei Wei was in Beijing for a meeting at the time, and could not leave immediately, so he asked the 335th Regiment to send someone to send the old hero to Beijing.

Not long after, Wei Wei saw Li Yu'an at home, and he looked at it for half a day before he couldn't help but say, "Comrade Li Yu'an, I really didn't think you were alive." Li Yu'an smiled and said, "I'm still alive, isn't this coming to see you?" Wei Wei then asked about Li Yuan's body and the current state of life, and finally couldn't help asking, "What do you think of the article I wrote?" Li Yu'an was excited when he heard it, and his tears were about to fall: "You wrote too well, and you preached for my dead comrades-in-arms, they are dead, and it is worth it." Wei Wei sighed when he heard it, "I don't mean anything when I write an article, you are the real heroes." It is because of you good sons and daughters that China will never be conquered by the enemy. When the two separated, Wei Wei also specially gave Li Yu'an a hardcover version of the novel "Orient" and a "Wei Wei Prose Collection", which are his own works, and the title page of the book reads: "You will always be the most lovely person." ”

After leaving Beijing, Li Yu'an left again, and he returned to his remote town and resumed a hard life. In his opinion, he is living a good life and is not willing to bother the government to do anything.
