The source of these five words is the long-form newsletter "Who is the Loveliest Person" in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. The author Wei Wei said that these five words were not hard to come up with, but characters that jumped out of his heart. It was the character that jumped out of his heart after three front-line interviews on the Korean battlefield and after listening to the sincere stories of dozens of volunteer soldiers.
"Who is the cutest person" has been deleted from primary and secondary school textbooks since 2001, the reason for the deletion is unknown, I began to go to primary school in 2001, I really did not see this touching chapter that has affected generations of Chinese in textbooks.
Even if we have not seen this masterpiece in textbooks, we can still see these five words in various media, and "the most lovely person" seems to have changed from a synonym for the volunteer army to a synonym for the People's Liberation Army, and to today it has become a synonym for all anti-epidemic fighters.

Wei Wei, born in 1920 in the troubled central plains, joined the Eighth Route Army at the age of 17 and fought on the Taihang Mountains, from writing propaganda slogans to writing poetry, he wrote whatever the soldier needed. His delicate brushstrokes inspired the confidence of the soldiers, expressed the full sincerity of the soldiers, and he used his own words to deeply depict the hearts of the soldiers on the front line.
