Ding Guoxian, the grandmaster of the Jin opera generation, is an artistic master who inherits the past and the future in the history of the development of Jin opera. To this day, the audience who likes Jin opera has great respect for her and never forgets her. On September 5, 2012, Yang Qiushi, Zhang Guigen, Zhao Weilong, Hua Min, Yan Yuting, Liu Huilan, and six people reached an agreement to compile the biography of Ding Guoxian. Veteran leaders Qu Runhai, Guo Shixing, and writer Zhang Renjian volunteered as consultants, and they began to interview old artists, old artists, and people and things associated with Ding Guoxian. Duan Xingwang, an old collector of opera photos, then also participated in it, jointly collecting and sorting out the bits and pieces of Ding Guoxian's life.
They went to various places to collect and visit, Taiyuan Zhengcun was the first place where Ding Guoxian came to Taiyuan with Ding Fengzhang, and Liu Aiying, the daughter of Ding Fengzhang's fellow liu er treasurer, once made a nanny for Ding Guoxian. Ding Guoxian gave her old mansion in Zhengcun to Liu Aiying, and Liu Aiying also had deep feelings for Ding Guoxian. In Xiaohu Village, Pingyao, find the hometown of Ding Guoxian's first husband, Ji Wuzhai, and search for some past events. After several years of investigation and interviews, many first-hand information were found, which added a historical basis to Ding Guoxian's life. The biography is written by the playwright Teacher Zhao Weilong, in order to show the life of Master Ding Guoxian objectively, they decided to study and discuss once a week, in the home of Teacher Yang Qiushi, who is more than ninety years old, Teacher Zhao Weilong read the content of the writing to everyone, and then everyone discussed, put forward their own suggestions and views, and after reaching a consensus, Teacher Zhao Weilong went back to continue to revise.
