Taiyuan ancient County North Back Street Tongfeng Academy in the Jin opera master Ding Guoxian master apprentice photo exhibition

Jinyuan District has a unique cultural geographical location, a long history, and brilliant cultural resources. A few years ago, in the old city of Jinyuan, he searched for the former site of the famous "Juwenhui" in the jin opera music industry, and roughly walked down a few streets. From the ancient city of Ying village to the south is the north gate of Taiyuan County, the decadent and declining city wall, recording the vicissitudes of the years.

The newly built ancient city has changed its former tranquility, and it is full of quaint shops and pavilions. The Guandi Temple on North Street is a central area and the former office site of the Jinyuan Alliance. Mu Xiang's novel "Jinyang Qiu", set against the background of the Taiyuan Anti-Japanese National United Front, composes a historical picture of the revolutionary pioneers who went forward to succeed each other for the cause of national liberation and waged arduous and extreme struggles against the enemy.

Opposite the Guandi Temple is the old site of the "Juwenhui", but it has now been changed to other uses, and it is not the original architectural pattern. It is said that it is a "Juwenhui", but it is actually a pharmacy opened by Ma Zhongqiu, which hangs the pot during the day and entertains the ticket at night.

Ma Zhongqiu and his younger brother Ma Sanqiu's old mansion, in the North Back Street, from west to east, several buildings are still the same, and there are not many changes. Further east, it was renovated, and since there was no label, I walked to the Catholic Church, and I was not sure which one was the Ma family's old residence. Further west, there is a "Tongfeng Academy" in the middle of Beihou Street, which is a place of lectures, go to the door and see the "Red May Display" on the door, and write "Jin Opera Master Ding Guoxian Life Exhibition" in the middle, so I went inside to see.

This is a three-out courtyard, in front of which is a paper-cut display of research and learning, the third entrance is a two-story building, and the first floor is three with ear rooms.

On the windowsill I saw a photo of Duan Xingwang, a collector of old opera photos. Almost all people who love to watch opera know him, and in order to collect old photos of opera, they have traveled all over Jinmeng, Shaanxi and Hebei. In order to understand the history of Ding Guoxian's life, he went to Taiwan to meet Ji Xin, the eldest son of Ding Guoxian's first husband, Ji Wuzhai . Go to Xinji, Hebei (formerly called Shulu County), and find Hanlin Zhuang in Wangkou Town, the birthplace of Ding Guoxian.

Ding Guoxian is a representative figure of jin opera inheriting the past and the future, and his life experience is bumpy, there are life climaxes, and there are life lows. As such a well-known figure, many performance activities in memory of Ding Guoxian have also been held, the Ding Guoxian Grand Theater has also been built, and the Shanxi Provincial Library has also held a Ding Guoxian video exhibition.

If you can gather these rich materials together, set up a Ding Guoxian Memorial Hall, and protect and pass it on. There are also memorial halls for local actors and actresses in other places, and in recent years, cities in Shanxi Province have also had their own small opera museums, and the materials for opera have been scattered. Although there is no large-scale opera museum in Shanxi that is really meaningful, small opera museums may be found everywhere in the future.
