It is understood that Liu Tingting was born in Lianjiang in September 2000, and later began her gymnastics career in the provincial city of Guangzhou, jointly trained by the Guangzhou Huadu Olympic Sports Youth Sports Club and the Huadu District Amateur Sports School, growing all the way from the provincial team to the national team, and winning awards and honors in international and domestic competitions, including the gold medal of the women's balance beam at the 2018 Gymnastics World Championships and the runner-up of the women's balance beam at the 2019 Gymnastics World Championships. In May 2021, Liu Tingting was selected for the training roster of the Chinese gymnastics team to prepare for the Tokyo Olympic Games, but unfortunately failed to participate in the Tokyo Olympic Games due to injury.
