<h1>Tribute to martyr - Qiu Shaoyun</h1>
Qiu Shaoyun (1926 – October 12, 1952), born in Qiujiagou, Yuping Village, Shaoyun Town, Tongliang District, Chongqing (formerly Guanxi Township, Tongliang County, Sichuan), was a revolutionary martyr.
Qiu Shaoyun lost his father at the age of 9, his mother at the age of 11, and was captured by the Kuomintang army at the age of 13 to become a soldier. In December 1949, he joined the Chinese People's Liberation Army and was a soldier in the 9th Company of the 87th Regiment of the 29th Division of the 15th Army. In March 1951, he participated in the Chinese Volunteer Army to fight in Korea, and on October 12, 1952, due to the incendiary bombs of the US army, it landed near the qiu Shaoyun lurking site, and the fire spread throughout the body, in order to avoid exposure, he gave up self-help and heroic sacrifice, only 26 years old. On August 30, 1953, he was posthumously recognized as a member of the Communist Party of China. On June 25, 1953, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea awarded him the title of "Hero of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea" and the Gold Star Medal and the Order of the National Flag first class.
