The Marriage of Figaro is one of Mozart's most well-known operas, and is also recognized as the first entry to Mozart's operas, and has been ranked among the most frequently performed plays in major opera houses for more than 200 years. The natural singing and intricate character relationships, endless small schemes and misunderstandings are still classics that many audiences will never forget.
The National Centre for the Performing Arts' version of the opera The Marriage of Figaro premiered in 2013. The Spanish director José Luis Castro, who directed the play, presents the complexity of the "love" of the people in the play, and delicately shows the jealousy, suspicion and forgiveness between the characters with a dramatic stage treatment. In terms of stage art, the creative team reproduced the historical style of Seville in the 18th century with an elegant stage atmosphere, and truly restored the way of acting more than 200 years ago in terms of changing scenes.
