The State Administration for Market Regulation issued 4 vehicle recall announcements

A few days ago, Porsche (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products. It has been decided to recall a total of 1,590 imported Taycan series electric vehicles manufactured between January 7, 2020 and December 15, 2023 from now on.

In some vehicles within the scope of this recall, short circuits may occur inside the high-voltage power battery module, which may lead to thermal runaway of the battery module in extreme cases, and there is a risk of fire.

Porsche (China) Motors Co., Ltd. will entrust authorized dealers to test the high-voltage power batteries of the vehicles within the scope of the recall, and replace the abnormal battery modules free of charge if there is any abnormality to eliminate potential safety hazards. Until the recall measures are implemented, users are advised to limit the charging capacity to less than 80%.

Porsche (China) Motors Co., Ltd. will notify the relevant car owners by registered mail. Authorized Porsche dealers will also proactively contact the relevant users and arrange a free recall repair. Changan Ford Automobile Co., Ltd. is recalling some Ruijie L and Mach-E vehicles

A few days ago, Changan Ford Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products. It was decided to recall the following vehicles.

1. From now on, a total of 14,883 Ruijie L vehicles produced between August 1, 2022 and August 2, 2023 will be recalled.

Due to manufacturing reasons, the electronic parking brake motor of some vehicles within the scope of this recall may be short-circuited, resulting in the electronic parking brake cannot be started or released, and there are potential safety hazards.

The recall was carried out in the context of a defect investigation initiated by the State Administration for Market Regulation. Affected by the investigation, Changan Ford Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the electronic parking brake motor free of charge for the vehicles within the scope of the recall through authorized dealers to eliminate potential safety hazards.

Emergency measures: When the electronic parking brake system cannot be parked, the user can keep the vehicle stop by attaching the P gear, and contact the nearest authorized dealer to inspect and deal with the vehicle.

2. From July 1, 2024, a total of 398 Mach-E electric vehicles manufactured between July 27, 2021 and April 6, 2022 will be recalled.

Some vehicles within the scope of this recall have overheated the main relay due to the design and parts of the main relay of the high-voltage distribution box of the power battery, causing the relay to stick or disconnect abnormally. In extreme cases, it may cause the vehicle to fail to start or lose power while driving, which is a safety hazard.

Changan Ford Automobile Co., Ltd. will, through authorized dealers, replace the high-voltage distribution box of the power battery free of charge for the vehicles within the scope of the recall, and upgrade the power control module and battery control module software to eliminate potential safety hazards.

Jaguar Land Rover (China) Investment Co., Ltd. is recalling some imported Jaguar I-PACE series electric vehicles

A few days ago, Jaguar Land Rover (China) Investment Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products. With immediate effect, a total of 113 imported 2019 Jaguar I-PACE electric vehicles manufactured between June 21, 2018 and October 2, 2018 will be recalled.

Due to manufacturing reasons, the power batteries of some vehicles within the scope of this recall may cause short circuits inside the battery cells and cause thermal overload. In extreme cases, it may lead to the fire of the power battery, which is a potential safety hazard.

Jaguar Land Rover (China) Investment Co., Ltd. will replace the power battery pack for the vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge, or repurchase the vehicles to eliminate potential safety hazards. Users can choose one of the two schemes, the vehicle buyback will be implemented from now on, and the replacement of the power battery pack is expected to be implemented from November 1, 2024.

Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. is recalling some imported Lincoln MKZ and domestically produced Lincoln Navigator vehicles

Recently, Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products. It has been decided to recall the following vehicles with immediate effect.

1. A total of 1,776 imported Lincoln MKZ vehicles manufactured between March 2, 2015 and July 28, 2015 are being recalled.

In some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the base of the claw spring adjustment plate of the door latch may break after a long period of use, resulting in the door being unable to lock; or locked doors, which may be unlocked while the vehicle is moving, increasing the risk of injury to occupants and posing a safety hazard.

Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. will entrust an authorized Lincoln brand dealer to inspect the production date code of the door latch for the vehicles covered by the recall free of charge, and replace the four door latches if it is a defective batch to eliminate the safety hazard.

This recall is an expanded recall of the "Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. Recalls Certain Imported Lincoln MKZ Vehicles" recall announced on February 5, 2021.

Due to manufacturing reasons, the electronic parking brake motor of some vehicles within the scope of this recall may be short-circuited, resulting in the electronic parking brake cannot be started or released, and there are potential safety hazards.

The recall was carried out in the context of a defect investigation initiated by the State Administration for Market Regulation. Affected by the investigation, Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. will entrust authorized dealers of the Lincoln brand to replace the electronic parking brake motors for free for the vehicles within the scope of the recall to eliminate potential safety hazards.
