According to Cambodian media news, Lord Lim Jenna, the founder of Brilliant City, and 4 accomplices were arrested on suspicion of fraud. At present, 183 bank accounts and some of the company's assets have been frozen by court order.
On April 17, the Siem Reap Provincial Primary Court issued a notice stating that in addition to freezing the bank accounts and part of the assets of the above-mentioned companies, five people involved in the case have been detained, 26 people have been summoned, and they must be questioned by the court from April 18, 2024 to May 17, 2024. At the same time, the court also ordered a strict investigation of all the assets of the persons involved in the case and disposed of in accordance with the law.
Previously, Lord Jenna Lin was reported by the public to defraud the public of millions of dollars in the form of real estate sales, high-interest investments, etc. Many people have invested all the money they borrowed from banks in the company, only to receive a few months of interest and then not heard from again, resulting in huge repayment pressure.
On March 12, the Siem Reap Provincial Primary Court said it had ordered the arrest of Lord Lim Jenna and his accomplices on suspicion of fraud, breach of trust, money laundering and issuing dishonoured cheques.
