According to Cambodian media news, on April 22, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia Sun Chanto and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi co-chaired the seventh meeting of the China-Cambodia Intergovernmental Coordination Committee in Phnom Penh, and the two sides congratulated Cambodian fresh coconuts on the official approval of exports to China.

It is reported that after complying with the phytosanitary requirements and relevant regulations, Cambodian fresh coconut was approved to be exported to the Chinese market at the end of February this year.

Cambodian coconut is mainly planted in Seju, Kampot, Saigang, Kampong Chhnang, Pursat, Battambang, Siem Reap, Kampong Thong and other places.

At present, the Chinese government has approved Cambodia to import four major fruits, including: banana, mango, Pailin longan and fresh coconut.
