In the past month, the Rong County Veterans Volunteer Service Team has actively participated in the publicity of forest fire prevention and the work of patrolling mountains and forests based on their own work characteristics and reality. As of April 10, according to incomplete statistics, about 400 team members participated in forest fire prevention publicity and mountain patrols.
In Xuyang Town, Rong County, six retired military volunteer service members are not only propagandists of forest fire prevention, but also front-line combatants of forest fire prevention. Sometimes they go to villages and households to carry out face-to-face propaganda; sometimes they wear camouflage uniforms and patrol mountains and forests to train their foot strength; sometimes they wear firefighting uniforms and train troops at the training ground. Among them, one team member is stationed in the forest area of Zhuchun Valley in the jurisdiction of Dongjia Town to carry out professional forest fire prevention, and the rest of the team members stick to the front line of forest fire prevention during the Qingming Festival holiday. In the past month, 6 team members have participated in nearly 100 forest fire prevention work.
In Changshan Town, Rong County, Wu Weiguo and other six retired military volunteer service members are the vanguard of forest fire prevention in the town. They are on the card points entering the forest area, and they are still on the road to patrol the forest. In the past month, the team members have participated in forest fire prevention publicity and patrolled about 80 people.
In Dingxin Town, Rong County, Lan Jian, a volunteer service member, not only participated in the forest fire prevention work of the town, but also participated in the forest fire prevention and extinguishing work of the Gaoshiti State-owned Forest Farm in Rong County. He has been at his post since March 11, patrolling the mountains and forests 2 to 3 times a day. In a little more than a month, he participated in 74 mountain patrols.
Fan Changqing, who lives in Gaozuishan Village, Hekou Town, is not only a member of the retired military volunteer service team, but also a local village doctor. He took advantage of the opportunity of the villagers to see a doctor and go to the countryside for medical treatment, publicized the knowledge of forest fire prevention to the local people more than 300 times, and distributed more than 400 copies of forest fire prevention publicity materials.

Since entering the key period of forest fire prevention this year, in accordance with the arrangement of the Rong County Veterans Affairs Bureau, the Rong County Veterans Volunteer Service Team issued a call to 60 team members in early March, requiring all team members to actively participate in forest fire prevention propaganda and mountain patrol and forest protection work.
