This winter, a special public welfare painting exhibition of lonely and autistic children was held in the café on Julu Road, lighting up the sky of autistic children. Soul App (hereinafter referred to as "Soul") has joined forces with the non-profit organization Shanghai Yitu Charity Foundation (hereinafter referred to as WABC) to arouse people's attention and understanding of the autism community, and call for more people to be inclusive and acceptable.
The works on display in this charity exhibition are all from autistic people, known as "children of the stars", these works have different themes, but each one is full of warm vitality. Soul makes these works into digital creations and sells them, and the proceeds will be donated to WABC to help children with autism.
When everyone lights up a beam of starlight, it will bring a bright galaxy to more "children from the stars".
The sunset, the sky and the sea reflect each other, psychedelic and gorgeous; in the enchanting cosmic starry sky, a star is dazzling and unique; the earth is like a colorful balloon, exuding colorful energy in the universe; around the two keywords of "galaxy" and "symphony", a romantic and exciting star concert is presented with a brush; the world outside the window is a quiet and distant world, leading to the wilderness and stars......
The creators behind these imaginative and creative paintings are a group of "children of the stars". Each child has their own style and story, such as Yang Yang's focus on creating strong digital style works, Ah Ye's active participation in various activities organized by the community and burying his love of life in his paintings, and Jie Lin's scholarly syndrome and imaginative memories of time and space.
In order to let more people know about "Children from the Stars" and at the same time allow children to express themselves in their own way, Soul cooperated with the non-profit organization WABC to make ten paintings, including the above paintings, into digital cultural creations, and opened a special sale, so that everyone can pass on the warmth, and the funds raised will be donated to the non-profit organization WABC. Users who purchase the work will receive a creative certificate for charitable donations.
In addition to online public welfare, Soul also cooperated with WABC to open a public welfare painting exhibition of lonely and autistic children at No. 794 Julu Road.
During the event, Soul also set up a special page on the site, and launched the topic #Velvet loneliness together, and meet all users for a "cloud exhibition". On the feature page, Souler can learn about the emotions behind each work and the story of each creator, as well as the imagery and emotions represented in the work. Users can share and discuss together under the topic, participate in the exhibition together, and understand and pay attention to this special group.
This isn't the first time Soul has worked with WABC. As early as a few years ago, Soul and WABC jointly launched the "Wrong Socks Day" public welfare activity to arouse the public's tolerance and acceptance of special groups such as autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome and their families.
Subsequently, the two sides successively held the "Not Lonely Because of Special" public welfare art exhibition, launched the "Soul Star Happy Park" activity, and launched the "Philharmonic Star" online public welfare activity, continuing to give the "Star Children" the power of love.
Founded in 2016, Shanghai WABC Foundation has been insisting on providing free art therapy services for the mentally handicapped and carrying out public welfare advocacy activities for the public to help the mentally handicapped improve their communication skills and integrate into society. Nearly eighty percent of Soul's monthly active users are Gen Z, and Soul also has insight into the new generation of young people who pay more attention to public welfare, and many of them have experience in public welfare activities.
