However, for the "nine-in-one" election, Chen Jizhong, the head of the agricultural department, not only prohibited egg merchants from raising prices, but also asked them to reduce their sales. This measure directly led to the decline in egg farmers' willingness to produce, coupled with objective factors such as climate and cost, there is a shortage of eggs.
But obviously, after inducing the problem, Taiwan's agricultural department has no ability to solve the problem, and can only come out to repeatedly apologize, explain, and even solve the person who raised the problem.

In response, Gou posted a long post on his social media to bombard the DPP authorities, demanding that the DPP authorities solve the egg shortage problem as soon as possible. Not only that, Gou also said that he would help Kuomintang candidate Lin Mingqin in the Nantou "legislative" election on March 4.
Gou, as a businessman, is absolutely unprofitable, and now he is working so hard to criticize the DPP and help the Kuomintang, on the one hand, to highlight the incompetence of the DPP authorities, and then evoke the memories and gratitude of the Taiwanese people for their donation of new crown vaccines at a critical time in Taiwan, thereby increasing their probability of winning the 2024 election; On the other hand, it was to appease the anti-Guo Tinghou forces within the Kuomintang.
Gou Taiming wants to borrow the resources of the Kuomintang to participate in the 2024 Taiwan regional leadership election, which is already Sima Zhao's heart, and everyone knows it. But as in 2020, Gou Taiming is not a member of the Kuomintang, and according to the rules of the Kuomintang, he is actually not eligible to participate in the party primary. The quickest and most effective way to do this is to unite the front with the Kuomintang, attack the DPP together, and help the Kuomintang win the Nantou "legislative" election.
Bombarding the DPP authorities with the egg shortage issue and helping the KMT candidate win the post of "legislator" in Nantou was deliberately done by Gou, but it was indeed beneficial to the KMT. Regardless of white cats and black cats, those who can catch mice are good cats, and as long as Gou Taiming does not disrupt the order of the Kuomintang and hinder the momentum of the Kuomintang's general election, he will not become the target of the Kuomintang, and may become the 2024 candidate of the non-green alliance.
