International Midwife Day: the first pair of hands to welcome new life

International Midwife Day: the first pair of hands to welcome new life

Some people say,

The midwife's hand is like a ruler,

Portable and precise,

One shot can know the shape of the birth canal,

Others say,

The hands of the midwife are like the hands of a pianist,

Slender and powerful,

One shot can hold up the hope of a new life!

5 May, International Midwives Day

Let's get closer to the midwife together

Measure these ordinary but special hands

It's a pair of soft and powerful hands

The midwife's soft hand caressed the mother's belly,

Take a deep breath, take a deep breath, and watch out for rest!

Yes, hard! That's how hard it is!

Don't be afraid, hold my hand! I've been!

It is such a pair of soft and powerful hands,

Bring endless comfort and encouragement to pregnant women.

It was a pair of warm and rough hands

Because of the long wearing of rubber gloves,

Frequent cleaning and disinfection,

Midwives' hands tend to be dry,

And slightly rough,

The smell of disinfectant between the fingers and abdomen,

But it's such a pair of warm and rough hands,

I picked up the first form of life.

It was a pair of slender and dexterous hands

Slender fingers, weaving back and forth,

Needles, knots, and cuts are very dexterous.

Slender fingers, measuring fetal size,

Master the morphology of the birth canal and understand the difficulty of childbirth.

Teaching again and again, polishing again and again,

Practice a pair of hands dedicated to midwives!

International Midwife Day: the first pair of hands to welcome new life

It's such a pair of hands,

Guarding the "Gate of Life" day and night,

Lift up one small body after another;

It's such a pair of hands,

Sensing the first loud cry,

Sensing the greatness of maternal love and the joy of the new birth;

It's such a pair of hands,

Dedicate youth to sweat,

Diligence and consistency,

Shoulder the responsibility for the safety of mothers and babies!

International Midwife Day: the first pair of hands to welcome new life

In May, roses bloom quietly along the vines, with the gentleness of early summer and the "International Midwifery Day". Let us pay tribute to the midwives who stick to the frontline, uphold the heart of the child, inherit the midwifery technology, and wish all the midwives a happy holiday!

Introduction to the delivery room

The maternity room is a national and provincial youth civilization number, a provincial demonstration post, a municipal youth civilization credit unit, a municipal excellent nursing team, and a municipal "May Fourth Red Flag" regiment branch, which bears more than 11,000 births per year. There are 54 people in the medical group and the midwifery team, and 24 people who are more than 10 years old, of which 7 are more than 20 years old.

In line with the service tenet of "greeting the birth of a new life with heart, affection and love", the maternity room has opened a family delivery room, free positioning to deliver and childbirth, LK program massage, painless delivery, midwifery outpatient clinic, moderate protection of perineal delivery and other technologies and services, and constantly expand the new model of midwifery services, meet the requirements of pregnant women at different levels, and provide safe, warm and efficient specialist nursing technology and high-quality nursing services for pregnant women.

1. The warmest companion ---- family delivery room

Expectant fathers or family members and midwives accompany the mother during the waiting process and spend the most important moments of life together. Under the guidance of the midwife, the family members jointly implement pain reduction techniques such as massage and free positioning for the mother, and the participation of the father-to-be in the whole process is more conducive to enhancing the emotional strength of the husband and wife and promoting family harmony.

2. The happiest memory ---- free asana childbirth

Free postural delivery is one of the ten recommendations put forward by the WHO (World Health Organization) to promote normal delivery, encouraging women to freely choose a comfortable position during labor, such as walking, standing, squatting, sitting, lying and other postures, through changes in maternal position and movement, so that the shape and size of the pelvis produce subtle changes, promote the fetus and the maternal pelvis to adapt to each other, give full play to the inherent factors of the mother, help correct the fetal orientation, alleviate maternal lumbosacral pain thereby improving the psychology of the mother, reducing stress, Greet the arrival of new life with the best and most comfortable posture!

3. The most practical instruction ---- LK program massage

LK Massage is a safe, comfortable and relaxing non-pharmacological analgesic method. Through the close connection between massage, respiratory control and visualization, it can reduce pregnancy discomfort, prenatal anxiety, increase childbirth confidence and alleviate the pain of childbirth, while facilitating the release of oxytocin, accelerating the progress of labor and reducing artificial intervention, effectively relaxing before childbirth, regulating the rhythm of childbirth, and making childbirth truly a natural "enjoyment"!

4. The most humane experience ---- painless childbirth

After full evaluation, appropriate analgesia (spinal anesthesia, intravenous analgesia) can be provided to alleviate the pain of maternal delivery. To ensure the safety of mothers and babies, obstetricians, anesthesiologists and midwives monitor the general situation of the mother and the progress of labour throughout the labour process.

5. The earliest breastfeeding ---- early sucking, early contact

After childbirth, let the newborn and the mother have continuous, direct skin-to-skin contact, and complete the first feeding, which not only promotes the emotional exchange between mother and child, but also facilitates the recovery of the mother's body and early lactation.

6. The highest quality of the starting ---- midwife clinic

The Midwifery Specialist Clinic consists of a team of experienced midwives who provide high-quality antenatal services to pregnant women. Senior midwives introduce perinatal knowledge (signs of delivery, waiting process, delivery skills, delivery room special services) one-on-one, formulate childbirth plans with family members, familiarize themselves with the delivery environment in advance, relieve the fear of childbirth, and successfully complete the delivery with a happy attitude.
