On the evening of April 20, the new generation of BMW 7 Series and its pure electric version of the BMW i7 were officially released, both of which are based on the upgraded new generation OF CLAR architecture. Compared with the old model, the new car is not only larger, but also subverts people's cognition in the design of appearance and interior, connecting the different concepts between traditional luxury and future technology.
In terms of appearance, the new BMW 7 Series and BMW i7 boldly innovated, both using BMW's latest family design style, the double kidney grille with large size and atmosphere lights and the design of the split headlights are unforgettable, whether it is a sports suite or a luxury suite, the two sets of appearances are outlined with more sharp lines, so that the aura of the new car is directly full, and the recognition is also full.
The upper part of the split headlights is a daytime running light, and the interior is decorated with Swarovski crystals, which can create a starry effect. The lower headlight group has an adaptive far and near light function, and may be equipped with laser headlights in the future.
On the side of the body, a waist line running through the end will set off the longer body more three-dimensional. The "Horn" design on the C-pillar is still retained and upgraded, and the new car also adopts a hidden door handle design, and the electric door can be controlled by the button of the handle.
The design of the rear is relatively conservative, but there is no lack of highlights. The rear roof is equipped with a 31-inch 8K display, using a 32:8 ultra-wide design, the display effect is comparable to the mainstream flagship TV, it does not need to be folded and hidden in the rear sunroof area, and its position can also be moved relative to the position of the front seat.
In terms of power, the new car will have fuel, plug-in hybrid and pure electric models, which is the first time that BMW has implemented three different drive modes including internal combustion engine, plug-in hybrid and pure electric in the same body architecture.

In terms of chassis, the new 7 Series/i7 features front double wishbones, rear five-link suspension, and dual-shaft air springs, which fully meet the comfort while handling is not inferior.
