In terms of power, the A8 series has four engines to choose from: the 3.0 TDI and 3.0 TFSI are V6 engines, while the 4.0 TFSI V8 engine in the S8, the TFSI e plug-in hybrid will be a 3.0 T+ mild hybrid system.
The 3.0 TDI for the A8 50 TDI quattro and A8 L 50 TDI quattro, outputting a maximum horsepower of 286 hp and a maximum torque of 600 Nm, the diesel engine accelerates the A8 and A8 L from zero to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
The 3.0 TFSI A8 55 TFSI quattro model has a maximum horsepower of 340 hp, a maximum torque of 500 Nm and zero hundred acceleration of 5.6 seconds. The S8 TSFI quattro is the sporty top of the range, with a biturbo V8 engine that produces 571 hp and 800 Nm of data in the range of 2050 to 4500 rpm, with zero 3.8 seconds of acceleration.
