The Paris Olympics will open on July 26, 2024 and close on August 11, 2024 local time in France. Rugby, handball and football will start first on 24 July.
The 19-day Paris 2024 Olympic Games will feature a total of 32 sports, 762 races and 329 medals. The first gold for the Paris Olympics will be generated on July 27, local time. Eight sports will compete for the finals, including cycling (women's and men's time trials), judo, fencing, diving, rugby, shooting, swimming and skateboarding.
According to the schedule released by the current Olympic Organizing Committee, from July 27 to 28 local time, two gold medals in the men's and women's street styles will be contested in paris's iconic Place de la Concorde. From August 6 to 7, two gold medals will be awarded in the bowl and pool event. The Olympic Games will also be the second time that the Chinese skateboarding national team has participated in the Olympic skateboarding field.
In addition, the IOC has also adopted and will soon release a qualification system for 32 events, setting the participation criteria for participating athletes and teams, which will be released through the Olympic official website next week.
According to previously announced news, the 2024 Paris Olympic Games will open the ticket sales program in 2023. In total, the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games will provide 13.4 million tickets, of which 10 million are Olympic and 3.4 million are Paralympic. Half of these tickets are expected to cost 50 euros (about 350 yuan) or less. The specific ticketing details and ticketing process will be announced in December 2022.
