In 2016, the International Olympic Committee announced skateboarding for the Tokyo Olympics. At that time, Chinese skateboarding was still in its infancy, niche, the popularity was not high, and there were few professional athletes.
With only 4 years left before the next Olympic Games, the State General Administration of Sport decided to select outstanding talents to enter the skateboarding national training team through cross-border cross-sports selection and prepare for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Therefore, in the summer of 2017, 6 skateboard training teams were set up successively, and talent selection was carried out one after another.

At the end of 2017, Zeng Wenhui entered the China Skateboarding National Training Team (Nanjing) through the selection of cross-border cross-discipline materials, turned from martial arts to skateboarding, and after practicing skateboarding with zero foundation for 4 years, achieved a good result of sixth place in the skateboarding competition of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Former martial arts athlete Zeng Wenhui practiced skateboarding for 7 months and won the Women's Street Style Championship of the China Skateboard Club League. Former martial arts athlete Lou Jiayi changed her skateboarding and won the women's bowl pool championship of the domestic skateboarding league for many times.
