From April 1, "laser TV" can no longer be called casually

"Laser TV" can not be called casually. On April 1, China's first laser TV industry standard released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology was officially implemented.

It is reported that the standard was jointly drafted by 25 units such as China Electronic Technology Standardization Institute, Hisense, Guangfeng, Changhong, xiaomi and so on. For the laser TV market that has entered the explosive period, the standard will carry out effective market order specifications, guide the healthy development of the industry, and better protect the rights and interests of consumers.

According to the standard, laser TV display equipment (laserTV displayequipment) refers to the use of laser projection display technology, equipped with a special projection screen, can display radio and television programs or Internet television programs display equipment. The standard also specifies that the brightness unit of the laser TV is nits, not lumens.

Equipped with a screen, "brightness" uses Nit expression, which is directly related to the picture effect of laser TV, and has also become two significant differences between "laser TV" and "projection".

"There are also some manufacturers on the market that use the color projection standard to make laser TVs under the banner of laser TVs, which ultimately damages the rights and interests of consumers." With the official implementation of the first industry standard for laser TV, those products with mixed eyes and poor user experience will also be gradually eliminated from market competition. Only in this industry can it prosper and the industry can develop. Zhong Qiang, secretary general of the Laser TV Industry Branch of the China Electronic Video Industry Association, said.

Laser display is an important technical direction for the development of the color TV industry in mainland China, and it is also the first TV category in the world to achieve technological innovation and leadership, ranking among the key special projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology's "14th Five-Year Plan" National Key Research and Development Plan "New Display and Strategic Electronic Materials". Since 2014, under the active promotion of leading enterprises in the industry such as Hisense, the mainland has achieved global leadership in key technologies such as light source design, optical machine module, and whole machine design; in terms of patents, the number of patents applied for and authorized by China in the field of laser display has jumped to the first place in the world.
