The preparatory meeting discussed the rules and regulations of the open source community, organizational structure, etc. Participating car companies said that the use of open source software in the automotive industry has become the norm, and in recent years, it has been elevated to the strategic position of enterprise development, but the entire industry lacks open source governance communication platform, and the problem of repeated development of enterprises is obvious, hoping to open up the upstream and downstream supply chain, ensure open source compliance, security and stability, and help enterprises integrate resources, save costs and improve efficiency.
The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology is a scientific research institution directly under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Vehicle Networking Technology Innovation and Test evaluation laboratory built by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology became the key laboratory of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2019.
