He picked up the paintbrush in his hand and recorded what he saw, heard and felt in the form of sketches, showing the touching moments of the people of Jiading fighting against the epidemic.
The three works of "Waiting", "Quiet Jiading" and "Ancient Blessings" present the iconic buildings of Jiading, such as Zhouqiao Old Street, Fahua Pagoda, Confucius Temple, Qiuxia Garden, Jiading Library, Shanghai Poly Grand Theater, Jiading TV Tower, and Racing Track, one by one in front of the reader's eyes. The buildings in the painting are staggered, the colors are warm, and the vitality and hope are like the lush greens in the picture, which not only has a sense of history, but also shows humanistic care.
Wang Jiafang said that at present, Jiading people are united in fighting the epidemic, and as a painter, they should also pick up a paintbrush, participate in it, and pay attention to everything around them. "I am a jiading person, when I was a child, I lived in the old street of Jiading, and the lively streets and ancient buildings still make me remember it vividly. Now the city is silent, but the buildings also have temperatures and tell the story of the fight against the epidemic. Wang Jiafang believes that the fight against the epidemic has shown the spirit and strength of Jiading people, which is the continuation of the context of "educating Jiading" and the pride of Jiading people.
"The white-clad angels in the isolation ward, the cadres of the organs who stand on the front line day and night, the community workers who fight selflessly, the police on duty on the highway, and many more citizens, everyone is the guardian of Shanghai and the guardian of Jiading, showing our city spirit, I have the responsibility and obligation to express my respect with a paintbrush!" Wang Jiafang said.
