Today, I listened to General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the "Eleventh National Congress of the China Federation of Literary and Literary Circles and the Tenth National Congress of the Chinese Writers Association", and I felt very deeply. The general secretary's speech today was very slow, sonorous and powerful, and the words and sentences were remembered in the hearts of every deputy and reverberated in the land of China.
Adhering to the principle of integrity and innovation, and using the best works to keep up with the times to open up a new realm of literature and art, General Secretary Xi's advocacy has made me, as an art worker, more determined in my own creative path. I have been engaged in art creation for nearly 50 years, doing one thing in my life, not seeking overnight fame, only for the spirit of craftsmanship, and using my paintbrush to keep right and innovate. Living and working in Shanghai so far, I have been trying to explore the subject matter of traditional Chinese painting in the past ten years, taking the creation of urban landscapes (Shikumen, Pudong Lujiazui, etc.) as my creative goal and direction, and pioneering the painting style of the Xinhai School. In recent years, the size of the urban theme works I have created has been huge, there was no model before, and I continued to explore these works that use Chinese paintings to show the face and spirit of the times, which were highly affirmed and recognized by all walks of life, which gave me great confidence. As an artist in the new era, I must continue to forge ahead, strengthen cultural self-confidence, create more fine works with Chinese cultural essence, Chinese aesthetic pursuit, disseminate contemporary Chinese values and conform to the trend of world artistic progress, and create more Chinese paintings with distinct Chinese characteristics, Chinese style and Chinese style.
