The Eleventh Literary Congress | Huang Doudou: Literary and artistic creation should breathe with the people, share a common destiny, and connect hearts and minds

At the opening ceremony of the Eleventh National Congress of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Tenth National Congress of the China Writers Association, I had the opportunity to follow many senior teachers and colleagues in the literary and art circles to listen to and study General Secretary Xi's important speech together, and my heart was extremely excited. In his speech, General Secretary Xi Jinping once again stressed: The cause of literature and art is an important cause of the party and the people, and the literary and artistic front is an important front of the party and the people. At the same time, new requirements have been put forward for future literary and artistic work: I hope that the vast number of literary and art workers will adhere to the people's stand and write endless people's epics. We must go down to the frontline of the grass-roots level, go to the people to feel life, breathe with the people in the way of literary and art workers, share the fate, and connect hearts with the people, create literary and artistic works full of true feelings, and create the image of stage characters with flesh and blood.

Looking back on the literary and artistic work I have participated in in the past few years, there are performances on the world-class stage, as well as literary and artistic service work at the grass-roots level and to the front line organized by the departments at all levels of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles. In yaozhou districts in Shaanxi, Yangshou Town in Jiangsu Province, Jinggangshan in Jiangxi and Yanchi in Ningxia, as well as in Xiajiang Village in Zhejiang Province and Dujiangyan in Sichuan, we give classes and rehearsals to local people and students, and jointly perform dance programs such as "Red Star Twinkle" and "Auspicious Sleeve Dance". We have visited the Fushun Lei Feng Brigade, while learning the spirit of Lei Feng, while jointly creating the dance "Lin Hai Snow Field" with the soldiers; we have gone to Qionghai City, Hainan Province, to create a new program for the local student dance troupe to sing the praises of the naval soldiers guarding the South China Sea; we have performed for the villagers in the rain in the countryside in the grassroots activities of Shaoshan Mountain, Hunan Province; we have launched the dance "Awakener" under the guidance of the Central Committee of the League, combined with the study of party history and literary and artistic creation performances; what is even more glorious is that I joined the "Great Journey" crew. Together with more than a thousand actors, in the way of literary and artistic workers, we pay tribute to the spirit of the great Chinese People's Volunteer Army... Since the outbreak of the epidemic, we have participated in the anti-epidemic activities organized at all levels, opened up new literary and artistic positions through the Internet, found new literary and artistic working spaces, and connected with the hearts and minds of the people.

In his important speech at today's opening ceremony, General Secretary Xi Jinping also put forward ardent expectations for young literary and art workers: Young people are the future of their careers, and they must abide by the right path, take the road, innovate more, and produce fine products. In the new era of the continuous development and strength of the motherland, we must redouble our hard work, under the leadership of the artists of the predecessors, adhere to the people's position, work hand in hand with the people, and constantly create and perform new works with heart and affection.
