He has brought Chinese dance to the world on international stages such as the Lausanne International Ballet Competition Award Ceremony, the closing ceremony of the Athens Olympic Games, and the Metropolitan Opera House in New York. In earthquake-stricken areas, army barracks, production workshops, grasslands in the north and small towns in the south, his figure appeared in various parts of the motherland with dance steps... "Winning the world-class stage and taking root in the grassroots stage" is his unchanging artistic intention.
Soybean bright picture
"Look at the sky, the sun and the moon are bright, the golden sunshine fills the fields, and the happy singing spreads in all directions..." With the distant Tibetan singing, in the clear rhythm of the Zhanianqin, dancer Huang Doudou interacted with the Tibetan Latse Dui harmonious dance with the traditional water sleeve dance, and performed a "Flying String Treading Spring" with the actors of the Shigatse Latse County Art Troupe.
When he met Huang Doudou, he had just returned from a performance of "Hada for You" Tibet Autonomous Region Aid to Tibet. From Lhasa to Nagqu, from dusk to sunset, the changing scenery of the snow-capped mountains of the plateau made Huangdoudou unforgettable, and what lingered him was the faces of the cadres who were sunburned red by the plateau sun. "The plateau environment is difficult, and I have seen red blood in the eyes of many grassroots frontline cadres assisting Tibet." In the north and south of the sky, soybean beans have walked through more and more places because of dance.
"A good dancer must be able to get on the world-class stage and be able to get down to the grassroots stage." This is a phrase that Soybean often says, and it is also a consistent requirement for yourself.
In recent years, the audience has not only seen the figure of soybean beans on the stage of large-scale cultural performances such as the centennial literary and artistic gala of the founding of the party, but also often encountered soybeans on the simple stage in the fields and countryside and city squares. For Huang Doudou, every dance and every stage has brought him precious harvests.
In 2008, Huang Doudou followed the Chinese Dancers Association to the Wenchuan earthquake-stricken area for a sympathetic performance. This is the first time in his life that Huang Doudou dances on a "stage" that does not even have a flat land - there is no condition to build a stage, and a red carpet is a stage; Because the local power supply has not yet been restored, two teachers from the local group art center used flutes and drums to accompany the dancers live. Huang Doudou remembers that when he told him to dance "Shining Red Star", the exciting prelude sounded immediately, and everyone completed the performance with true feelings.
It was also this time that the original solo dance became a "group dance" for the first time.
"Jumping and jumping, I felt that someone was running after me, and when I looked back, it turned out that the children in the disaster area were following the red flag in the hand of 'Pan Dongzi'!" This scene was deeply engraved in Huang Doudou's mind. Without the concept of space on and off stage, dancers and audiences merge in head-up communication, and the power condensed strikes people's hearts.
"I think that's the most vivid illustration of the inspiring power of dance." Soybean said. Since then, whenever the time is scheduled, Huangdoudou will go to various places to participate in literary and artistic volunteer performances. After the establishment of the Literary and Art Volunteer Association of the China Federation of Literary and Art Volunteers, he even brought dance to the fields as a literary and artistic volunteer, and used his dancing posture to communicate with the widest audience.
"When you walk out of the theater and walk to the audience, you have to accept a 360-degree scrutiny from the audience, which is a real test of whether a dancer's basic skills are solid, and it is an opportunity to enter life and learn again." This is the real feeling of soybean beans.
Some say he is "the most masculine dancer of Chinese dance", and some call Huangdoudou "one of the representatives of traditional Chinese dance". It is undeniable to anyone that the dance of soybean beans is always full of righteousness in fortitude.
This may be related to the military feelings he has had since childhood. Huang Doudou has created many classic "warrior" images on the stage - in the dance drama "Shining Red Star", he is the radiant young hero Pan Dongzi; In the dance "Remembering Zhang Side", he used a white towel to play Zhang Side, an ordinary hero who served the people; In the scene chorus and dance "The Battle Flag is Picturesque" during the theatrical performance for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party, he played a volunteer soldier who braved the flames of war to rush to the "Shangganling" heights and shouted the phrase "shoot at me for victory" that hit the hearts of the people.
If there is anything in common between warriors and dancers, it is that hardship, self-discipline, and willingness to be lonely are all indispensable qualities. "Dance is the performing art that gives the most, gains the least, masters the hardest, and gets out of control the fastest." Soybean has said this to people more than once. For him, who has no advantage in congenital conditions, he has put in more effort than ordinary people.
At the age of 11, he applied for the Beijing Dance Academy Affiliated High School for the third time, because the ratio of upper and lower bodies was insufficient, Huangdoudou was once again told by the admission teacher that "it is not the material for dancing". The next year, his father broke the cauldron and made a pair of iron rings for him, fixed them on the beams of the family's old-fashioned kitchen, and let the soybeans hang upside down in the air with their feet. The time when my father cooked dinner was his "special training" time. In more than three months, Huang Doudou's leg was miraculously lengthened by three centimeters, which became the "key three centimeters" for him to be successfully admitted to the Shanghai Dance School.
In 1995, CCTV Spring Festival Gala dance program "Drunken Drum" impressed people deeply about the teenager who could complete more than a dozen high-platform spinners on a large drum with a diameter of 1.8 meters, but few people knew how Huangdoudou relied on his love and sweat to rely on his own love and sweat, from lying on the window to watching others rehearse to fighting for the opportunity to enter the classroom to "rub" rehearsals, and then from the "F corner" actor in the last row of the classroom to the A corner actor in the front row.
After "Drunken Drum", "Qin Figurine Soul", "Su Wu", "Six Dances of the Zhou Dynasty", "Chinese Kung Fu", "Ink Dance", "Liang Zhu", "Defending the Yellow River", "Qin Shi Huang"... Huang Doudou has become a dazzling star in the Chinese dance industry with his masculine and affectionate dance works, and has brought Chinese dance to the world stage, leading dancers from all over the world to dance Chinese dance. The light-bodied dancer on stage is remembered, but few people know that he was also seriously injured by dancing and almost unable to stand again.
A dancer's stage career may be limited, but there is no time or space limit to the learning and love of dance. Every time we talk about works and performances, Huangdoudou's voice seems to be "dancing". Since entering the Shanghai Dance School at the age of 12, Huang Doudou has been dancing on the road of professional dance for 33 years, practicing, choreography, rehearsal, performance, and rushing, these five things are the main theme of his life. When it comes to dance, he always has a sense of purity in him.
In March this year, Huangdoudou was selected as a "National Young and Middle-aged Literary and Art Worker". "I feel very honored and responsible to be selected together with literary and artistic workers from all over the country and different artistic disciplines. Patriotism, serving the people, advocating morality, and shangyi, these 8 characters engraved on the building of the China Federation of Literary and Literary Associations always remind us to adhere to artistic ideals, pursue both virtue and art, and strive to preserve righteousness for history and promote virtue for the world with noble ethics and works of both literary quality and beauty. Huang Bean said.
