There is a West Street in Jiading, Shanghai, where there are many former residences of celebrities, and it was once the street with the most fireworks atmosphere. But soon here will usher in a new transformation, in order to present the past and present life of the old street, last weekend, an immersive exhibition debuted at the Jiading Museum, leading the audience to embark on a "time and space travel journey" of West Street.
Red light radio, 555 clocks, bright sheets, window frames embedded in the old view of West Main Street... Walking into the "old street and old house" in the exhibition hall, there is a smell of old Jiading in the 1970s and 1980s. Many citizens who used to live on West Avenue were deeply touched when they came here. Old objects evoke the old memories buried in their hearts.
The museum also specially arranged the staff to freeze the beautiful moments of "time and space travel" for the audience with Patrick.
In addition to the immersive exhibition area that can be punched, the museum also exhibited more than 50 pieces including calligraphy and paintings, ancient books, inscriptions, old photos, charts and so on. Among them, a rusty "Hengfu Road" street sign is very eye-catching. "Hengfu Road" is the earliest road name in Jiading, located in the Ximen area, named in 1935.
The exhibition will run until March 16. The museum will also launch the "Impression of West Avenue" hand-painted enamel cup, on-site visits to various cultural relics protection points and other exhibition supporting activities.
