A few days ago, Car Vision Technology learned from network channels that the price range of SAIC Volkswagen's new Lingdu L may be 162,500-206,600 yuan, and a total of 5 models have been launched, equipped with 1.4T high and low power engines. Previously, the overall shape of SAIC Volkswagen Lingdu L was officially exposed, and the new car was redesigned for the appearance and interior, with large styling changes and two versions of the shape.
As a "China special" model, the new Lingdu L took seven years to rebrand, and the design part has been drastically improved, with the intention of further competing for the sports car market. From the styling aspect, we can see saicid Volkswagen's determination to the sports car market.
In fact, from the perspective of the guide price, taking the 2019 and 2021 Lingdu as a reference, the starting price of the new Lingdu L has increased slightly, but it is consistent with the entry level of the 2021 Lingdu. In addition, among the prices exposed by Lingdu L, the top model is priced at 206,600 yuan, but it is both higher than the 2021 Lingdu Luxury Phantom Edition (guide price of 186,900 yuan) and higher than the 2019 top model (guide price of 196,900 yuan).
In fact, the currently exposed price range of 162,500-20.66 million yuan is still more in line with the model positioning of the new Lingdu L, and it is not surprising that the overall shape has been greatly upgraded and improved.
It should be noted that the 2021 Lingdu, which is currently on sale, is not small in the terminal market. According to the real price of some car owners, the preferential margin of the Lingdu bare car for sale is about 25,000-27,000 yuan. Under such a premise, Lingdu L in the early stage of future listing does not actually have much advantage in price.
In addition, it should be noted that although Lingdu has successfully opened up some sports car markets when it was just listed, and the sales volume has been located in the head position of this segment for a long time, with the gradual development of independent brand cars, there are many similar products in the current market, such as Lynk & Co 03, GAC Trumpchi Shadow Leopard, Dongfeng Fengshen Yixuan MAX and Changan UNI-V, etc., the price is not expensive, and the power performance is not weaker than the opponent, and there are advantages in configuration.
Under such a premise, if Lingdu L is listed at the price currently exposed, and there are no substantive discounts in the terminal market, the sales prospects seem to be unclear, and it is still unknown whether it can complete the established market response of SAIC Volkswagen.
Of course, let's pay attention to the new Lingdu L model itself, although there is no Volkswagen's latest 1.5T engine, but only from the modification of the exterior interior, we can also clearly feel the "spicy" of the "spicy steamed bun" of Lingdu L.
In the front part of the car, the new car has changed the family-style design of the traditional Volkswagen brand, and then on the basis of the latest generation, it has been greatly upgraded. In particular, the grille design of the new car, the upper part of which basically adopts a closed design, much like a new energy vehicle, the intake grille is completely integrated into a large mouth, and the internal mesh adopts a honeycomb mesh design, and uses black elements to increase its motion attributes.
In terms of body size, the new car has a length, width and height of 4784/1831/1469mm, and a wheelbase of 2731mm, which is an increase compared with the old model. From the side, we can still see the overall sports atmosphere of the new car, which incorporates a slip-on style and adds a hatchback tailgate.
In the rear part of the car, the new car adds through tail lights, which cooperate with the duck tail that is cocked upward due to the hatchback tail door design above, making the tail more three-dimensional. The new car adds chrome decorations that are rarely used on the front face and sides at the bottom to outline the exhaust shape, but the real exhaust is completely hidden, and only decoration is done here.
The interior is also the most improved part of the new Lingdu L, which adopts the latest Volkswagen digital family design. Moreover, since Lingdu L is a "China Special" model, the control machine system also adds a lot of Chinese characteristic elements and some applications.
The new car adopts the design of the integrated double screen, and does not design the package for these two screens, which fully caters to the current design trend, but whether the higher central control screen and LCD instrument will be obscured to achieve, we need to wait for the future after our actual experience before making a conclusion.
In the center console part, the sense of hierarchy of the new car is still relatively sufficient, and coupled with the double screen, the center console is more abundant. In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a 1.4T engine, but it is divided into two kinds of power adjustment, the 230TSI version has a maximum power of 96kW and a maximum torque of 225Nm; the 280TSI version has a maximum power of 110kW and a maximum torque of 250Nm. The engines are matched by a 7-speed DSG transmission. In terms of suspension, the new car still offers front McPherson and rear multi-link independent suspension.
