This picture tells the story of a man named Liu Zijie, who was touched by two carp in the pond and was inspired.
Liu Zijie is a Wujiang native, there is a fish pond in his property, every winter he builds a small dam, stops the fish in the pond, and then releases the excess pond water, the fish expose the bottom of the pond, he can easily catch the fish and take it to the market to sell.
One year, when he was putting the water in the remaining half, he suddenly saw two large carp and jumped out of the dam, ready to escape. But after a while, I saw them jump back into the pond, wasn't this a self-casting net? But these two big carp jumped back and forth again and again. Liu Zijie was surprised, so he went forward to find out. He found that hundreds of small carp were trapped in the dam and could not jump out of the dam to escape due to their small strength; the two large carp had successfully escaped, but they were reluctant to let the young children be trapped and returned again regardless of their safety.
They jump in and out again and again, originally picking up the small carp with their mouths, jumping out of the dam and then spitting out, in order to save the child. But countless small carp, how many times to jump in and out to save them all! Seeing the carp saving the child, Liu Zijie was very shocked, it is really the heart of the parents in the world, regardless of you and me, let alone humans and animals!
Heaven has the virtue of good life, not only regards all sentient beings as equal, but the benevolence of heaven and earth also makes all things live endlessly, and human beings are only one of all sentient beings, how can they bear to hurt other sentient beings? Liu Zijie realized this, so he demolished the dam and released all the fish.
