In fact, Counterpoint Research also said that total sales in the Chinese smartphone market fell 2% year-on-year. Coupled with the fact that the US ban on Huawei has not been lifted, and Qualcomm's processors in recent years are not strong enough, the road to Android mobile phones to impact the high-end has been blocked, and Apple has obviously eaten more high-end market share to a certain extent. Therefore, with the return of influence and market appeal at this time, Apple's pricing in the mid-market is naturally also a little superior.
Can the iPhone SE 3 replicate the success of the iPhone 13?
After the development of Huawei's mobile phones has been blocked, a number of domestic mobile phones may not be Apple's opponents on high-end machines, but all along, domestic manufacturers in the mid-range market have shown their magic, mainly relying on differentiated play.
In the most competitive market, brands have a wide range of models with strong configurations at this price point. From the screen alone, manufacturers can give LTPO technology to introduce a high refresh rate large screen; on the processor, some brands can even give Snapdragon 8Gen1 chip; compared with the SE series of 5W charging, 64G starting memory, single lens comparison, at least 50W fast charging, 128G starting memory, rear 3-4 camera Android phones may be better in experience. In the 3000-5000 price segment of the Chinese mobile phone market, the fight between brands is very fierce, and the iPhone SE 3 is suddenly invisible.
We admit that the A15 chip is powerful, but there are other designs that match it to play its real role, se 3 with the iPhone 8 mold to carry the A15, in the battery life obviously reversed, some ignore the iPhone 13's successful experience in terms of battery capacity.
And the iPhone series of roommates are also reflected in the old products, due to the long life cycle of the iPhone, now the 128G version of the iPhone 11 Jingdong price 4399, iPhone 12 mini price 3999, and the same for 128G price 3899 iPhone SE 3 price difference is not much, unless there is a larger carrier price down.
Of course, in cook's consistent knife method, the next generation of SE products may use iPhone11 or iPhone 12/13 mini to make molds, otherwise its product line can only become a fan of emerging markets such as India, and in China, it will gradually lose its purchase value and lose the power of the mid-range machine market and domestic mobile phones.
However, this would have been better than nothing for Apple, after dominating the high-end market, Apple relied on A series chips, iOS systems and brands that have been operating for many years to harvest nearly half of the entire industry's sales and more than 70% of the profit margins, relying on the previous generation of products to explore the mid-range market and digest the inventory of some accessories.
However, China's mobile phone market is changing rapidly, higher brand premium will inevitably bring higher psychological expectations, iPhone SE after the iteration if it is still technology to replace the core as the basis, whether this road can go down depends on the willingness of consumers.
