Beauty Art Education: Seeing the Power of Women – Those Female Artists!

Fight against discrimination and oppression and strive for freedom and equality. From the beginning of the twentieth century to today, we take out a day, just for women. For "she", for "she" who produces a force that cannot be ignored in all spheres of society.

International Women's Day on March 8 is today, and in this great festival for women's liberation, let's feel the power of some women together.

A tribute to every one of her

She may have been a mother who worked for half her life

She may be the wife of a virtuous lady

She may be a teacher who teaches and educates people

She may be the doctor of the Holy Hand of Benevolence

Breaking the ceiling of the industry, creating new value, and being able to stand up to half the sky, women are making outstanding contributions in all walks of life, and the same is true in the art world. Not a glamorous slogan, but a real deed. From the paintings, in the sculptures, find the unique tolerance and softness of women, as well as the tenacity and strength in them. Stepping into the world without fear, women need to be "seen."

Seen - Chiho Aoshima

From starting out as an economics major at university, to teaching adobe Illustrator drawing software on its own, to working in the KaikaiKiki studio of "Incubator and Manager for Young Artists" founded by Takashi Murakami, Chiho Aoshima is one artist that has to be said when referring to the "Ultra Flat Movement." Flatness is a prominent feature of Chiho Aoshima's works, but unlike the early ukiyo-e planes in Japan, Chiho Aoshima adds surrealist fantasy content to the picture, and the virtual grotesque and fragmented hybrid cartoon patterns she creates through time and space show the characteristics of the era of Internet home popularization.

Childishness is another characteristic of Qingdao Chiho art, and it is also a common feature of contemporary Japanese trend culture. Qingdao Chiho constructs virtual reality with an unfettered imagination, using digital technology to create a deliberately naïve "Lolita Control" scene, the female figures in the painting are mostly small-faced, big-eyed, slender and weak girls, masochistic "narrative" techniques, challenging the universal definition of cuteness, meekness and beauty of girls, distorting and perverting the theme, transforming the childish atmosphere into a grotesque absurd scene. As Chiho Aoshima herself said: "My work looks like my mind is flying around in the universe and has not yet materialized."

Seen - Miyu Komatsu

Miyu Komatsu was born in 1984 and studied copperplate engraving at the Women's Art Junior College. Her creative practice covers different media such as printmaking, ink, acrylic paint, arita ware, etc., and her early works have delicate lines, black and white colors, mostly based on life and death, and the style is relatively dark.

Later, his personal creation shifted from life and death to prayer, depicted in bright and colorful colors. Miyu Komatsu's 2005 "Forty-Nine Days" is her masterpiece, and it is this work that made her famous in Japan. Mythical beasts and spirits have always been the themes in her works, probably from Komatsu Miyu's experience growing up in the Nagano Mountains as a child, and in her works, you can always find the kind of peace and beauty that only nature can bring you for a long time.

"The delicate carving of different plants in the ceramics, the amazing level of skill, no matter how complex the texture structure, Hosono Renmi can carve to life.

Shinomi Hosono's favorite plants are tropical plants, and corals, mangroves, and hibiscus often appear in her works.
