CBA Summer League schedule released: Liaoyue led 10 teams to a record with a total prize fund of 2 million

On June 30, Beijing time, the schedule of the 2023 CBA Summer League was released, which will be played from July 10 to 16 with a total of 28 games, with 10 teams including Liaoning, Guangdong and host Qingdao participating to set a record high, held in Qingdao, and the total prize money of the event was increased to 2 million yuan.

Qingdao began hosting the CBA Summer League in 2018, when only four teams from Liaoning, Qingdao, Tianjin and Beijing participated. After two consecutive tournaments, it was suspended for two years due to the epidemic and re-held the CBA Summer League in 2022, when 8 teams participated.

It is worth mentioning that last year, Qingdao Guoxin Basketball Club signed a contract with the CBA and obtained the right to host the 5-year summer league. This year's CBA Summer League continued to be held in Qingdao, and the participating teams were further upgraded to 10 teams to participate, setting a new record high, including Liaoning, Shenzhen, Guangdong, Guangzhou, Shandong, Shanxi, Fujian, Tianjin, Ningbo and Qingdao.

This year's CBA Summer League will be a week-long competition from July 10-16, with four games per day for a total of 28 games. On the first day of the match on July 10, Shenzhen VS Shandong, Shanxi VS Guangdong, Tianjin VS Guangzhou, Qingdao VS Liaoning, Liaoyue Shuangxiong and host Qingdao all played.

As for the qualifying session on July 16, the final title will be contested at 20:00. The 10 participating teams will be divided into groups according to the lottery format, and the group will be played in a single round-robin competition, and the group ranking will be ranked and then cross-eliminated to produce the final champion. As for the total prize money of this year's CBA Summer League, it has been raised to 2 million yuan.
