Land Exploration Group 1 01 is the world's first L-band distributed formation multi-polar interferometric SAR altimeter satellite system, with a ground observation resolution of meters and a ground elevation measurement accuracy of 1:50,000 scale standard. Such a "golden eye of fire" is inseparable from the "spiritual communication" of the "double star combination".
The Land Exploration I 01 Group includes A and B stars, which were launched a month ago. Interferometric altimetry of binary stars in orbit requires two stars to maintain a high degree of consistency in the three dimensions of time, space, and phase.

The research and development team has innovatively proposed a series of new technologies based on three-dimensional attitude guidance and control of formation satellites, non-interruptive dual-base imaging, etc., which can effectively ensure the synchronization performance of double stars.
Among them, the three-dimensional attitude guidance and control technology based on the real-time formation configuration can effectively improve the space synchronization performance of the land exploration 1 group 01 double star long baseline formation flight.
Wang Yu, deputy chief designer of the 01 group satellite of the Eighth Academy of Land Exploration, also introduced that the team adopted the non-interrupt dual-base imaging mode for the first time in the world, which fundamentally solved the problem that dual-base satellite on-board SAR imaging and phase synchronization could not be carried out at the same time, greatly improved the accuracy of phase synchronization, and had independent intellectual property rights in this technology.
