Remember the Sony headset device introduced to you last year, recently, Sony finally disclosed its next-generation PlayStation VR2 headset.
This headset supports haptic feedback, eye tracking, 4K HDR, 90/120Hz frame rate, recessed rendering, and a 110-degree field of view, and it connects to the PS5 with a USB-C cable. The PlayStation VR was the original economy VR headset that required neither a powerful gaming pc nor $800 worth of extra gear.
It's worth remembering that the PS VR was part of the first wave of consumer-grade VR headsets, and like the original Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, both have many successors, with huge improvements in optical quality, field of view, and overall immersion. In the original PS VR, you could only walk around in an extremely small space in front of your PS4, interacting with the virtual world with a pair of grippers, and at best simulating the action of grabbing, which is far from making gestures with modern controllers or even virtual hands with independent fingers.
Still, players are welcome to revolutionize the way the game is played, not yet aware of the price of the PlayStation VR2 and the final release date.
