Recently, during the GDC, Stan Larroque, CEO of French hardware startup Lynx, said in an interview that due to supply chain issues, the company's XR headset Lynx-R1 will be delayed until June-July, originally scheduled for April.
It is understood that the Lynx-R1 is an XR device equipped with Qualcomm XR2 processor, with AR perspective as the core, which first debuted at the PIE Photonics West conference held in February 2020 and launched a crowdfunding in November last year, priced at $499. One of the highlights of the device is that it has an ultra-low latency color See-Through feature for AR.
Stan Larroque also said: "The software of the device is quite mature, and we will soon launch the SDK, which will support OpenXR. On the hardware side, we are manufacturing with our Taiwanese partners. It is worth mentioning that this device will also support the SideQuest content ecology. ”
