Recently, the first batch of 12 intelligent networked vehicle road test vehicles in Chengdu were issued driving number plates. In the future, the 12 test vehicles will be tested on public roads designated in Chengdu for autonomous driving.
According to the "Implementation Rules for the Administration of Road Testing of Intelligent And Connected Vehicles in Chengdu (Trial)", 12 intelligent connected vehicles (including 4 pure electric city buses and 8 pure electric cars) were tested in the temporary closed test field of intelligent networked vehicles, and were reviewed by the Chengdu Intelligent Connected Vehicle Road Test Expert Group, and reviewed by the Chengdu Economic and Information Bureau, Chengdu Municipal Public Security Bureau, and Chengdu Municipal Transportation Bureau. The Chengdu Municipal Public Security Traffic Management Bureau officially issued the first batch of road test vehicle number plates in Chengdu.
The issuance of these 12 number plates is an important milestone in the development of intelligent and connected vehicles in Chengdu and even Sichuan Province, marking the official entry of Chengdu's automobile industry from the "traditional automobile era" to the "intelligent automobile era".
