Recently, Yincher Technology completed the L4 unmanned heavy truck road test, the test model greatly followed the Yincher L3 mass production program, in a section of 24km of closed high-speed test section, the whole process of unmanned, no remote intervention to complete the test.

In addition to the rapid progress of technology, there is also new news about the financing of Wincher. At the end of February, Incher Technology announced that it had completed a US$188 million (approximately RMB1.188 billion) Series B+ equity financing. Through the B+ round of financing, Yinche Technology will further increase investment in its full-stack self-developed truck automatic driving system "Xuanyuan", and jointly launch more mass production models with industry partners to accelerate the layout in the field of electrification.

With the completion of the L4 level unmanned heavy truck road test and a new round of financing, Yinche Technology has also entered a new stage of development.

First, complete the high-speed scene test, the performance is smooth and free

In accordance with the requirements of relevant national laws and regulations, the test was carried out in a closed highway test section located in Laiwu, Shandong Province, with a total length of about 24km. The test section includes typical high-speed road structures such as uphill and down ramps, large curvature bends, long tunnels, bridges, access ramps and toll stations of various slopes, and a large number of vehicles are used to simulate real traffic flow.

During the test, the L4-level unmanned heavy truck of Yinche Technology smoothly completed the road test without intervention throughout the process. Completed the tests under typical scenarios such as automatic follow-up driving, automatic lane change, identification and avoidance of construction vehicles and cone barrels, automatic avoidance in lanes, automatic follow-up stops, and driving into toll stations.

Second, rely on the mass production plan to share data closed loop

The L4-level driverless heavy truck that conducted the full unmanned driving test this time is based on the mass production model jointly developed by Yingche Technology and the main engine factory, following the fully redundant wire control chassis, high computing power calculation platform and core algorithm software in the mass production plan, and at the same time appropriately expanding the lidar and computing power.

Dr. Yang Ruigang, CTO of Yinche Technology, explained: "This is a technical verification of L4 driverless heavy trucks with mass production genes, and the vehicle can easily cope with the natural traffic flow in various high-speed scenarios, showing excellent perception and control stability. Perceptionally, we followed the mass production scheme of multi-sensor fusion, only added 2 lidar as a supplement, and the appropriate computing power expansion, while the fully redundant wire control chassis did not make any changes, and the test results were very satisfactory, which made us very excited. ”

It is reported that the automatic driving technology architecture of Wincher Technology has been oriented to L4 automatic driving from the beginning of design. Under this unified architecture, the evolution of L4 level autonomous driving technology has greatly benefited from the development and data accumulation of L3 mass production models. Dr. Yang Ruigang said: "Mass production smart trucks equipped with the Yinche Xuanyuan system have been delivered to customers one after another, which not only create business value for customers, but also begin to form a massive real data closed loop, supporting rapid iterative upgrades to L4 level autonomous driving technology. ”

Conclusion: Wincher Technology has entered a new stage of development

With the completion of the L4 level unmanned heavy truck road test, Yinche Technology has entered a new stage of development.

After the completion of this test, the autonomous driving freight fleet of Yingche Technology will grow on a large scale, which will also accelerate the landing process of autonomous driving technology in the field of trunk logistics to a certain extent.
