The popularity of BYD's sales, in addition to years of hard work in the field of new energy, also benefits from the continuous introduction of new car series. Today, in addition to launching the Dynasty series of new cars such as Qin, Han, Tang and Song, BYD is also building ocean series, warship series, and high-end series.
At present, the BYD Marine series has already started the first shot, and the first new car launched is the Dolphin.
Dolphin is the first production car based on BYD's e-platform 3.0. If 1.0 is to master the core three-electric technology, then 2.0 is to advance and master the modularization of the key system of the whole vehicle; and finally develop to 3.0, that is, to give aesthetics, intelligence, etc. This is also the development process of BYD's new energy vehicles in recent years.
So what are the grades? From December last year to January this year, BYD Dolphin has sold more than 10,000 vehicles for two consecutive months, even leaving fuel small cars like Fit behind. So, how competitive is the second car in the Ocean series? Recently, the road test spy photos of seals were exposed on the Internet, which is expected to become the second marine series new car launched by BYD.
Last year, it was reported that the SEAL, positioned as a pure electric mid-size sedan, is expected to be launched in March this year. The car is based on BYD's new e3.0 platform, estimated to be priced at about 150,000-200,000 yuan, body size of 4770/1860/1460 (mm), wheelbase of 2900 mm. In terms of size, it has surpassed the rival Tesla Model 3.
In terms of power performance, BYD SEAL will launch a rear-drive version and a four-wheel drive version, of which the four-wheel drive version will be equipped with dual front and rear motors, and the acceleration time from zero to 100 kilometers is 3.4 seconds. For comparison, Tesla's Model 3 High Performance Edition all-wheel drive model accelerates from zero to 100 kilometers in 3.3 seconds.
In addition to dolphins and seals, from BYD's product plans, we understand that sea lions and seagulls will be launched next, positioned as medium-sized SUVs and small cars respectively.
Among them, BYD Hiace will compete with tesla Model Y, and currently knows that the body size information is 4770/1910/1620 (mm) and the wheelbase is 2900 mm.
In terms of power performance, Haishi will provide three power options, divided into single-motor two-wheel drive version and dual-motor four-wheel drive version, according to the different power, zero to 100 kilometers acceleration time is within 7.8 seconds, 6.3 seconds and 3.9 seconds respectively.
As for the BYD Seagull, the starting price is expected to be lower than that of dolphins. It is understood that bydir Ocean series new cars will be sold through the e-network platform, and the above three new cars are expected to be released this year.
