This autonomous coupe SUV is called "FAW version of Mazda CX-4", in fact, in addition to the relatively close styling style of the entire model, the Pentium B70S and Mazda CX-4 still have some differences.
This time, FAW Besturn released the pre-sale price of seven models in one go, and the pre-sale range of the 1.5T model was 110,900 yuan to 135,900 yuan; the 2.0T model was 127,900 yuan to 143,900 yuan.
In terms of size, the wheelbase of the Pentium B70S reaches 2750mm, which is considered to be an A+ SUV class, surpassing the CX-4's 2700mm. However, the body size is 4555mm, 1850mm, 1515mm, almost close to the CX-4, which also makes the two models very similar in shape and proportion. Other mechanical parameters such as wheelbase and curb weight vary widely.
The Pentium B70S clearly continues the style of the Pentium B70 in the front face design, using the typical T-shaped design headlights, as well as the geometric grid style. However, the B70S adopts a double-layer design in the front face grille part, and the trapezoidal design of the lower air intake grille is more in line with the young aesthetic. Details including the blade-style five-frame wheels, bright black side skirt trims, through-type taillights, etc., are more in line with the design details of the sports model than the B70 sedan.
In terms of interior, the Pentium B70S is the same as the B70, with a 7-inch full LCD dashboard and a 12.3-inch large screen, a large number of touch designs, etc., which are more in line with the current "intelligent" trend than traditional models.
The most critical place is the powertrain, the new car uses two sets of powertrains, 1.5T engine matching 7-speed wet dual clutch, maximum power 169 horsepower, maximum torque 258N·m, equivalent to the CX-4's 2.0L power level, but the torque output is stronger. The high-end powertrain is a combination of a 2.0T engine and a 6AT engine, with a maximum power of 224 horsepower and a maximum torque of 340 N·m. This strong performance is obviously more in line with the driving needs of young people.
In addition, the chassis of the Pentium B70S uses multi-link rear suspension, which is a clear difference from the Mazda CX-4.
In fact, the biggest difference between this autonomous coupe SUV and the usual is not at the product level, or the pre-price of 110,900 yuan - 143,900 yuan, but FAW Besturn announced that this model will adopt a new online booking model. "Users place orders online through the Pentium YOMI App, and then the sales service store completes the delivery of the vehicle. Users can get clearer and more transparent prices, eliminating the need for redundant bargaining links in the car purchase process," FAW Besturn stressed.
FAW Besturn hopes to maximize the user's car purchase interests with the help of the official online car booking App, and there is no "middleman to earn the difference", so it can also enjoy enough convenience and rights when booking a car.
