In terms of SUVs, SUV sales reached 976,000 units in January 2022, down 3.0% year-on-year and up 1.7% month-on-month. The performance is still relatively stable. Let's take a look at the ranking of specific models in the SUV market.
January SUV sales list: Changan CS55 nearly 30,000 ranked third, the top five independent brands accounted for 4 seats
As the beginning of 2022, the performance of the SUV market is still good, with a total of 6 models selling more than 20,000. Among the top 15, there are 6 independent brand models, namely Haval H6, Changan CS75, Changan CS55, BYD Song, Auchan X5 and Hongqi HS5. Among them, the top five independent brands accounted for 4 seats.
In January, the Haval H6 ranked first in the list with a result of 33,318 vehicles, winning the opening red. Changan performed well in January, with the CS75 series (32122 vehicles) and the CS55 series (29851 vehicles) dominating the second and third places. Among them, the year-on-year growth rate of the CS55 series is as high as 140.5%, which is the first time that the model has reached such a high ranking, and it is hoped to continue to maintain.
In fourth place is BYD Song, which sold 22,449 units in January, an increase of 46.8% year-on-year, maintaining its recent good results. The remaining independent brands on the list are also ranked 11th Auchan X5 (16400 units) and Hongqi HS5 (16279 units), both of which have double-digit year-on-year growth.
In terms of high-end models, the Mercedes-Benz GRC is sweeping away the haze of last year, with sales reaching 22,331 units in the first month of 2022, an increase of 14.7% year-on-year, ranking fifth in the SUV list.
Other high-end SUV models on the list include the BMW X3 (No.7), Audi Q5 (No.11) and Tesla Model Y (No.13).
The ranking of Japanese models has declined, the most advanced is the Dongfeng Nissan Qashqai, with a result of 20486 units, ranked sixth, and the new generation of Qashqai in 2022 is coming, looking forward to its performance. For Honda, Binzhi (18,768 units) and CR-V (17,615 units) ranked ninth and tenth respectively. Toyota did not have a model on the list.
In terms of Volkswagen, Tuyue performed well, selling a total of 18,927 vehicles, an increase of 36.6% year-on-year, ranking 8th. Tiguan, on the other hand, ranked 15th with a record of 16,228 vehicles.
January high-end SUV sales list: Mercedes-Benz at the top of the list, Model Y ranked fourth
In 2021, due to the impact of problems such as lack of cores, the BBA model failed to win the annual SUV championship. And in January 2022, the BBA came back, especially Mercedes.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC topped the list with 22,331 units, up 14.7% year-on-year, and the only high-end SUV model to break 20,000 this month. In addition, the Ranking of Mercedes-Benz GLB also rose, with 6507 units sold, ranking 6th on the list.
The BMW X3 and Audi Q5 finished second and third with 19,542 and 17,062 units, respectively. Judging from the sales volume in the first month, the luxury SUV market will only get more and more volumetric.
The Tesla Model Y delivered 16,358 units in January, ranking fourth. There is still a big gap between this delivery volume and its sprint at the end of last year, which is also related to its delivery strategy. But I have to admit that the Model Y is a strong opponent of BBA models that cannot be ignored.
In the new energy part, the performance of the ideal ONE is still remarkable, with the delivery of 12268 vehicles, ranking fifth, the performance is relatively stable, but also the second echelon is quite a lot, I hope to continue to maintain.
Nio's ES6 delivered 5,247 units in January, up 92.9% year-on-year, ranking seventh and improving.
The last three on the list are the Cadillac XT5 (5177 units), volvo XC60 (5164 units) and Tuon (4836 units), all of which have declined to varying degrees year-on-year, and it is not surprising that the ranking has fallen.
