Steam Deck handhelds support nearly 300 games and will be released two weeks later

IT House reported on February 13 that the Steam Deck will be released in two weeks, and Valve seems to be stepping up its testing program for its new handheld console. In the past week, more than 150 games have reached the "Verified" level in Valve's official rating system, bringing the number of "Verified" games on Steam Deck to 294.

The "Verified" level means that the game is fully compatible with Steam Deck, and the Game Validation level also includes "Playable", meaning they can run, but there may be unoptimized elements such as control schemes or small text, and in addition, the validation level also includes "Not Supported".

The Steam Store currently has more than 60,000 games and is growing at a rate of around 10,000 per year, so Valve's testers will never be able to keep up with the growth of games. However, even if Valve can only guarantee a good experience for a small part of its huge catalog, it is a huge lineup for a handheld starter.

IT House understands that highlights of the current "Verified" level include: God of War 4, Horizon: Dawn, Brain Crew 2, Vampire Survivor, Tetris Effect, Death Stranding, God HD, and 7 Dragons games and more.

SteamDB also lists 193 Steam Deck "playable" games, including The Witcher 3, Temple of Heroes, and more. There are currently 60 unsupported games, including Halo: Sergeant Major Collection, Persona 4: Gold Edition, and Jelly Bean.
