14 projects in Xiamen were selected as provincial intangible cultural heritage

Xiamen Daily News (reporter Guo Rui) The Fujian Provincial People's Government recently announced the seventh batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage representative project list, Xiamen City recommended the declaration of "poetry in southern Fujian" and other 14 items selected, covering folk literature, traditional art, traditional skills, traditional medicine, folklore and other 5 categories of intangible cultural heritage. So far, the number of representative intangible cultural heritage projects at the provincial level and above in our city has increased to 62 (including 15 at the national level).

It is reported that the seventh batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage representative projects list a total of 188 items, of which 157 items were added to the list of new items, and 31 items were expanded from the first to sixth batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage representative project list. Among the 14 projects selected in Xiamen, 12 are added to the list of new projects and 2 are expanded projects, all of which are representatives of the folk culture of southern Fujian.

In recent years, the city has carried out three citywide intangible cultural heritage censuses, built a four-level intangible cultural heritage representative protection and inheritance system, and successfully promoted the construction of a number of intangible cultural heritage display areas and protection pilot projects. In the next step, Xiamen will further improve the system of intangible cultural heritage protection and inheritance, carry out the declaration and identification of the sixth batch of representative items of intangible cultural heritage at the municipal level, and focus on supplementing the projects that should be included in the "Measures for the Protection and Development of Culture in Southern Fujian of the Xiamen Special Economic Zone" and a number of representative and influential new projects, so as to promote the comprehensive and effective protection of intangible cultural heritage.
