Probably because yesterday was widely exposed, today KTM officially opened the official page of BRABUS 1300R, and there was a countdown to the listing on the homepage, and the time of the countdown was 3 pm Central European Time on February 14, which means that KTM chose to announce the price on Valentine's Day.
Prior to the price announcement, KTM had released all the configuration parameter specifications for the BRABUS 1300R. What is certain is that the BRABUS 1300R is based on the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R EVO, but the exterior has been redesigned and the car has been given a new look through various luxurious customizations from Babos.
Engine part
The KTM BRABUS 1300R is still equipped with a 1301cc displacement LC8cV twin-cylinder engine with a maximum horsepower of 180hp and a maximum torque of 140Nm, with an electronic throttle as standard and a sliding clutch. Although this engine failed to break through the threshold of 200 horsepower, no public upgrade competitor dared to underestimate it!
The specially designed air intakes in the front part of the car increase the combustion efficiency, and the new exhaust pipes have been redesigned to fit the new appearance style. This dual exhaust is from "Babos", the matt black ceramic coating is gradually luxurious, and the new exhaust is designed to optimize the back pressure in addition to the appearance.
Chassis section
The frame, the subframe, including the swingarm, are also the "Super Duke" set of things, but in some places with a large area of carbon fiber wrapping.
Suspension section, front 48mm WP APEX semi-active inverted fork, rear WP APEX semi-active center multi-link suspension, combined with THESPENSION PRO kit, can be suspended in three modes (low, medium, high).
Front 320mm double disc with Bremob Stylema radial mount monocoque four-piston caliper, as well as caliper heat dissipation shroud specially equipped with carbon fiber, rear 240mm single disc, with Brembo dual-piston caliper, standard With Bosch 9.1 curve ABS.
Electronic configuration
The round headlamp makes many people think of the BRABUS 1300R as Huswana, and it is also because of this round headlamp that the sharp "super duke" turns into a low-key retro gentleman.
The 5-inch full-color TFT meter inherits from the "Super Duke", and the boot screen is replaced by a BRABUS start animation, but it does not have a tilt adjustment function, and the scratch-resistant outer screen also has an anti-glare effect.
In terms of electronic configuration, it includes 5 riding modes: rainy days, street, sports, track, performance, MTC traction control, MSR slip adjustment, SuperMoto ABS, cruise control, TPMS tire pressure monitoring, ATIR automatic turn off turn signals, keyless start, two-way fast row, etc.
Other details
The BRABUS 1300R also features a 760mm wide handlebar with an angle adjustment function that adjusts the travel of 25mm fore and aft and has 4 different positions.
Full of visual impact of the orange cushion, decorated with a lot of hand-stitched stitching, this cushion is much more comfortable than the "Super Duke", but also provides seat heating function, the seat height is 10mm higher than the "Super Duke", depending on the color of the model, there are also two different colors of cushions.
The 16-litre metal tank has the same capacity, and the decoration around the tank cover is made of carbon fiber, with a carbon fiber inlet on each side of the tank.
Babos' custom Monoblock Z9 forged wheels have a supercar feel and are one of the iconic designs of the BRABUS 1300R.
Babos' customized high-strength aluminum CNC footrest assembly, which provides 12 adjustment functions, is paired with carbon fiber skid plate, which is very in line with the consistent image of Babos.
With only 154 units worldwide, the KTM BRABUS 1300R will be available in two different color options, namely MAGMA RED and SIGNATURE BLACK.
Unfortunately, the curb weight was not seen in the brabus 1300R's spec sheet, which was previously rumored to have been reduced by 5KG due to dimensional changes and the use of a large number of carbon fiber materials, which has not been confirmed.
