The Kingdom of Bhutan is located on the southern slope of the eastern section of the Himalayas between China and India (belonging to the southern bottom of the Tibetan Plateau). The Armed Forces of Bhutan consist of three areas:

The first is the royal army, which has 10,000 people, mainly to defend the king and the royal family, but also to maintain stability in the country.

Third, there is the militia. Since the founding of Bhutan, there has been an unwritten rule that every family in Bhutan must have a male to enlist in the army, or be ready to enlist at any time.
