Liu Heqin, 52, the inheritor of Gaobeidian's intangible cultural heritage, the art of paper-cutting, fell in love with this traditional Chinese culture when she was influenced by the family atmosphere and learned paper-cutting with her grandmother and grandmother. Later, when she came into contact with the computer, she began to conceive her own paper-cut shapes, and whenever she saw her favorite pattern, she could design and cut it.

When the Beijing Winter Olympics were still in the preparatory stage, Liu and Qin pondered how to show the Olympic spirit through paper cutting. By chance, she saw the ink Chinese painting "Jiangshan WanliTu", and immediately became inspired, "Aren't many ice and snow sports carried out on the high mountains?" I want to integrate the Winter Olympics into the great rivers and mountains of the motherland! ”

In 2021, Gaobeidian paper-cutting was selected as the seventh batch of municipal intangible cultural heritage representative projects in Baoding. Liu and Qin began to think more, how can the ancient and simple traditional paper-cutting be better inherited at the moment?

"Teacher Liu, we have all arrived, when are you coming?" It turned out that the children came here early every day to wait for Liu and Qin. "Hearing the children's calls, my heart melted and I just wanted to see them quickly."

A piece of red paper, a pair of scissors, a pair of skillful hands, so that Liu and Qin gained a lot of "small fans". As long as she picked up the scissors and paper, the children immediately quieted down, and looked at it with good eyes, how did an ordinary piece of red paper come out of so many tricks in Teacher Liu's light dancing hand?

"All that is taught to children is a pattern that can appear with a few scissors, and it can be completed in half an hour at most." They are very serious and both learn quickly. "Liu and Qin integrated the Elements of the Winter Olympics into the paper-cutting, and one by one the Winter Olympic projects emerged in the dexterous little hands, and the children all showed their surprised eyes." If you are interested and like to learn, traditional culture can be inherited. At the same time, let them feel the Olympic spirit more deeply and cheer for the Winter Olympic athletes! ”
